While many members of the Battlefield Play4Free community are Battlefield or FPS veterans, not everyone that plays this game has that level of experience.

In an effort to improve the field craft and know-how of our less experienced players we thought it a good idea to hand the mic over to our battle hardened veterans for general Battlefield advice, in-depth expertise, and maybe an insightful philosophical thought every now and again (what, too much? ).

As such, we have set up a thread in which our veterans can leave their top tip of the day, the best of which we will publish to our Homepage and Facebook!

If you are piloting the attack helicopter and see a traced target - press RMB to launch homing missles!

Do not be a child. Do not destroy your own team's vehicles. Use your energy to destroy enemy vehicles instead!

Keep in mind that even if you in a vehicle your body is not invincible.

when I see a chopper gunner shooting at our vehicles in HQ at the start of the game I usually say:
GUNNER YOU F*ING IDIOT !!!!!
(yes, with 5 exclamation marks)

When camping, trry not to stay in the same place too long. Kill-cam is your worst enemy.

use team work when destroying enemy vehicles, dont forget to use your tracer guns for the engineers.

Here are my advices:

Do not be suicide, be patient. Advance watching the battlefield carefully and taking cover in everything that can be used as one. Never run in the middle of a skrimish, becoming an easy target.

Be a good teammate: If you're a medic or a Assault, help your team giving health and ammo to who need them, but don't risk your own live to just give 30 health to a friend.

Use grandes to blow away enemies that are in coverture.

Use the "Spot" funcion over the hardest enemies: Tanks, APC's, Helicopters, etc... and any sniper that is in a good place, so the especialiced members of your team, like another snipers and enigneers, can take them down.

Instead of exiting the humvee from the left or right side, you can hop out the back simply by hitting the F3 key, and then pressing the E key to exit.

Most leaders, will shout 'ATTACK!' to their troops.
Only the good leaders, will shout 'FOLLOW ME!'

Do NOT stay in base longer than a vehicle appears. Take any Blackhawk, chopper, tank, APC or anything (ok, maybe not a car) to get in the battle. Follow this instruction and you will earn more XP and thus level up faster!

When flying a copter and you see your health dropping but not under attack ie you are on fire, splash down and out of water to stop it! Has to be a dunk and fly though or you risk stalling as such.

to be a real pro, first learn to use the standard weapons (the weapons you have for free).
if you skilled with those THEN play with PKM's, M24, AEK's etc.

1-Keep your head cool.
2-Take a few seconds to analyse the other team´s moving pattern.
3-Be creative, adapt your approach to the current situation.
4-Sometimes go along with the pack and be a team player, other times dare to do what nobody else is doing.
5-Be patient and don´t rush all the time.
6-Know the maps by heart.
7-If overrun, make your way to the other´s team most further away flag. During your run kill only as a last resort, keep quiet.
8-When face to face, don´t wait for your opponent, be aggressive, don´t let him/her think. Throw a grenade and then go shoot them.
9-When you run, run like hell and don´t stop moving until you get to cover or you make the kill. And before starting to run, have in mind where you want to go and why you want to go there.
10-Reload, reload, reload.
11-Tag, tag, tag.
12-If you can´t kill it, spot it.
13-Make a joke or two, it´s a game.
