Not sure if that's a good use for the "useless" apparel, or just another attachment/booster system...

It's obvious you guys play too much WoW, this could be easily replaced with specialisations.

And what if I want to only have apparel just for the sake of looks? Will the update change my equipment stats (magazines, ammo capacity, explosives capacity etc)?

Seriously though, I have to buy clothes, then buy all the slots for all the items, then buy all the inserts for all the slots - and then if a cooler outfit set comes out, start again from scratch Undecided

You're assuming that to be the case. It's more likely that each set of apparel already has the slots built in, and that the inserts are transferable between each outfit your character owns. Similar to how attachments work currently.

I could be wrong, obviously, but the attachment system has set the precedent which all new content will in all probability follow - it wouldn't make sense for the clothing insert system to deviate from this.

It already deviates, as stated by the Dev above you must pay for the clothing, then pay to unlock slots in the clothing (more if you are lower than the required level, less if you are not) and then pay for the attachments, also you must pay to unlock the slots on each item of apparel - so if you change your outfit you must pay again to unlock the slots again - unlike guns which, for now at any rate, come with free slots and you pay for the weapon and any attachments only

Why do you developers keep doing this to the game?

Is that how much your desperate for money?Make accessory slots and clothing boosters?

Why not fix the bugs in the game,making it more enjoyable,more playable---->more money

The time you spend designing this and combat healing gadgets you could've already fixed the combat resilience bug for medics(one example out of the hundreds)

For the Devs:
Now that Uniform inserts are coming in, have you considered distributing a basic uniform to distinguish classes?

Something basic, a uniform with the same inserts as the basic you are going to implement. That ought to still invite players to customize themselves, for getting more inserts, even with the class specific apparel that they already own. Hell, maybe it will even keep an engineer from using a medic helmet. AHAHAHAH Or a sniper-egineer from using his dish-washing gloves, Wink .

And a suggestion : since all the uniforms and slot1/slot2 apparel stuffs in the store are available to buy for cheap price from lvl1 ( clothing deals ftw ), there shouldn't be any differences between the number of slots between stuffs in a category ( like 3 for all uniforms, 2 for all slot1/2 apparels ).

meh..when opening the tread, I thought that you will now be able to have different clothes on different vehicles on the same round. Like im running around with a pas with some elite assault uniform but when I get in a jet, I get the pilot uniform

Guys, stop complaining. I remember how all forum was crying about attachments, but then...everybody bought it. Becose no one want to suck like freeplayers. EA see this in their statistic.
After release of this "inserts" u will cry for a week "how its unbalanced and expensive", and than will buy this again. And everything that EAsy will release, u will buy too. We all know that.
For EA - nice idea for business, but really, sometimes take a look to the bugs.

I dont like it, we got customs. nice and expansive customs. Think of Level 30 or a new map and weapons, the soldier profile and a lot of bugs. Dont u have enough to do? Doe u really have not enough cash?
