I'd really like to see the game play lean more towards BF2 than BFBC2.

For one, get rid of the tracer darts, bring back the rockets you had to guide yourself. RPG's should not be able to track a target. Make them have a slightly higher strength if need be, to counter those an engineer can guide.

Allow med packs/ammo packs to be carried around again or tossed if needed. Also bring back the instant healing/ammo recharge abilities of those packs, instead of the current ones where it takes forever to heal/rearm yourself. Not to mention the fact the one pack will supply everyone. One pack, run over it, instant heal/rearm, and it's gone.

Don't know how you're going to handle the defibrillators, but BF2 seems to have the right length of time to revive someone. BFBC2 had WAY too long a time to revive someone, and currently once you die here, it's very quick to re-spawn, so fast that you can't even select your base sometimes.

Add an option to choose where you spawn like BF2, make it available to be preset, in case you like a certain area of the map as opposed to others. The current system is too limited. Don't allow spawning on any member of your squad like in BFBC2, squad leaders are acceptable as spawn points as in BF2, but the BFBC2 system got annoying.

Please bring back the grappling hooks and zip lines to this game, it opens up the maps so much. I really hope you're bringing in special forces maps into this game, Ghost Town and Warlord were my two favorites.

I do like BFBC2's weapon customizations as opposed to BF2's, so you could implement some of those features.

Please to do not restrict height/area of space for your choppers and planes as you did in BFBC2. Those flying bathtubs were deathtraps. The controls and agility of things were like sticking wings on bulldozer and calling it an nimble aircraft.

Also bring back back the chopper pads/runways for self healing, that's a must. And if you insist on leaving in those damn tracer darts, at least don't turn off the chaff as you did in BFBC2. That so called unlock in BFBC2 didn't work worth a crap to break those locks and turning off the ability to discharge flares or making it an ability is like saying 'oh you wanted wheels with that car you have? That will be extra.'

I'm sure I'm forgetting a ton of stuff at the moment, but lastly I would recommend you guys check out the AIX mod for BF2, it was awesome. That mod had a ton of features and ideas that would work well I think in this game. Overall, good beta so far guys, you're doing better than some I've been in, keep up the good work.

$20? You lucky sods get it for $20? Gah, EA rips us off, during the sales it is AUD$40 here, and that's what? 50% off? Try spending $80 on every game, try calling me a cheapie now! Last I check the conversion rates were AU98c to US$1 we should be paying at the most $22, so much for the free trade agreement.

It's just like, oh yeah, here's a $120 game for you (DLC included) but we know that is a complete rip off so we shall give you a free game that is very similar, but cover up the fact further down the road you'll have to pay money to actually stay competitive.

It's $40 on Steam. That's the cheapest price anywhere in Australia. Games are also listed in US$, regional pricing FTL, besides, it's hardly a Battlefield game, I wouldn't pick it up if it were $5, I was just ranting that all games in Australia can cost up to 300% more than in any other region.

Oh yeah, forgot a few more things to add to that list.

Bring back the commander, give him uav, supply drops, vehicle drops, arty, etc....

I loved having a good commander in BF2, was like a god watching over me with the uav and the spots, and directing me and squad mates to needed areas in map or warning of us of impending doom around the next street.

Yes, by having a commander back, you take away the commando's arty strike they got in BFBC2, but who didn't tired of the constant arty strikes? Give the ability back to the commander and along with his other toys so that we can blow up assets again.

Next thing up, give us a decent server browser. You didn't in BFH, because you said it was a casual game and not a hardcore game like your previous games. Well, that has now changed with this game that you built for a hardcore audience. I personally would like to see how many people are in a server before I join, and most definitely would like to know my ping to said server.

I seem to recall seeing a map titled something along the lines of "firing range" in the game files before the last patch.

*EDIT* I just posted this in the wrong thread, too many tabs open at once.

Totally agree. It'd be great if this game could simply improve upon what made BF2 the best game of the franchise.

Here BF2 is $20 for the collectors edition which is all the expansions.

OT: I think the game should just be an even amount of BF2 and BC2 Tongue

I would suggest making it more like BF2 and less like BFH! (and BC2)

I could play BF2 for hours with a great variety of maps, weapons classes vehicles large open maps with 64 players, I can only stomach about 30 mins of BFH or this game before wanting to quit, its just not as engrossing as bf2 sorry!

Once the classes went down from 6 different classes down to 4 it all started going wrong imo, lack of variety = boredom.

Take the best of both worlds. Would be the best, huh? Wink

But I'd like to have the marking, calling for ammo etc. system of BC2. You know? Only look on a enemy, press Q to mark him...
