Installing Battlefield Play4Free Extension in Google Chrome

Hey,

Chrome has recently released a new security feature, and it no longer allows you to directly install an extension from the Battlefield Play4Free page. More on this at << Edited out by EA_Ben: No longer applicable. >>.

TO BYPASS THIS, go to the Battlefield Play4Free homepage. Then, click "Play Now" and it will redirect you to page to install the extension. HOWEVER, there will no longer be a popup prompt to ask whether the user grants access to install the extension. TO INSTALL IT, you need to browse to your selected downloads folder, and find the CRX file that is downloaded. TO USE IT, browse to "about:extensions" in Chrome, and drag the CRX file into the extensions page. It will then install.

Oh, I attached the CRX file
You can download it to your desktop, and THEN drag it into the extensions window.

NOTE TO BATTLEFIELD STAFF
Can you please upload the CRX file to the Chrome Webstore? It is much easier for users to access it without having to bypass the permissions. THANK YOU!

I also uploaded the CRX file online to FileFactory. If you can't download it from Battlefield servers, download it from the hosted version (up to date as of Jul. 18, 2012) at << Edited out by EA_Ben: No longer applicable. >>, and drag it into the extensions window from there. Good luck to all!

Just open Chrome and go to the Chrome Web Store and search for Battlefield Play4Free.

Just go to http://www.battlefield.play4free.com/en/playnow
It's fixed, and just go press "Install browser extension".

The extension/app is gone from chrome web store and the problem still consists with the 'download extension' button. Please fix this EA, I am new (just signed up today) and I want to play BF on chrome

I have a long that not play this game, and when i try to install it today,can't cause i cannot download the extension. i look on the internet to download the extension frome other part but even google store have the extension.
Now im installing the game from internet explorer. PLEASE EA FIX IT i want to play it on chrome too
