Here's a news flash, the purpose of an armored vehicle is to protect it from small arms fire.

If only... if only some sort of weapon could penetrate their armor.
Like it would be nay ideal if you could have a weapon that could like cut through it, or like pierce it... a sword maybe? or better like one you could shoot like a bow, or like a rocket...

Honestly when 2 stingers can take down a TANK I don't feel majorly sorry for people.
Victory then goes to the team that can more effectively eliminate the enemy armor, be it in tank to tank combat or with an APC or rockets.

Heck you can even down vehicles with enough grenades. So pardon my lack of sympathy for people who can't just deal with vehicles.
Yes the people who use them get big bonuses if they're any good with it.
That is kind of the point of a tank though, is that it's a force multiplier.

Then again, it's a multiplier not an addition. I've seen kids take our tanks only to get sniped out when they got in the gun turret... seriously? Or even killed by the enemy tank without making even one hit on their opponent.

Granted it doesn't take as much skill to get 10 kills in a tank as it does on foot being good at armored combat is something of a skill. I look forward to tank based maps to prove this.

The thing is mostly not that tanks are completely over powered, but that the game is
CLOSED *bleeping* BETA.
As with today's update, more is being added... gasp.

There will likely be more anti-tank stuff and more anti-infantry stuff to add complexity to the game.
Note before we had only grenades as training..
So later on with more ammo, better guns, better explosives, it will add a level of variety to the gameplay.

So maybe later tanks won't just be able to romp through town unopposed.
I imagine claymores and mines might help this fact. Just wait and see before judging the game
based on the first weeks of a closed beta...

I believe this will deepen the experience a lot. I know we have been having a blast playing around with training on our internal play tests.

I won’t go into too much detail about what options you have, I believe that it’s more fun if you find out for yourselves. Additionally your soldier will be granted Credits as you play now. This fits well with the store that will open in the next few days. With the Credits you earn from playing you can then get access to new weapons and new outfits for your soldier. Pretty neat huh?

And yes, we have done tons of fixes and additions for this update as well, here are some highlights:

Added:
  • New Weapons (Available after Store release, COMING SOON!)
    o PKM LMG
    o P90 SMG
    o 870 Combat Shotgun
    o MP 443 Pistol
  • More outfits (Available after Store release, COMING SOON!)
  • Most Tier 1 training
  • You will be given 1 additional training point per rank
  • You will now be awarded credits for playing
    o You must play to the round ends for credits to be handed out
    o If you play part of a round you will be given a comparable part as a reward
    o Winning team gets 80 Credits
    o Losing team gets 30 Credits
    o If you get auto balanced, you will get the reward comparable to how much time you spent on the winning team
  • Added more impact sounds
  • More vehicles have new sounds
  • Ambient sounds on Karkand
  • Added support for more full screen resolutions including widescreen
  • Added functionality for account editing


Bug fixes (Highlights)
  • Fixed several issues with Ammo boxes and Medic boxes
  • Fixed an issue where camera was restricted wrong in the vertical axis. You should now be able to look more freely.
  • Switching soldier in frontend should no longer cause you to fail matchmaking
  • Fixed an issue where the weapon would be un-textured in specific circumstances
  • Fixed a problem where weapon got returned to low poly after a new map loaded
  • A scoring sound should play again
  • Cleaned up the HUD messages
  • You should now be able to crouch in vehicle turrets
  • Fixed several text string issues
  • Fixed several animation issues
  • It should now be faster to switch between weapons
  • Balanced out audio on some weapons that sounded too far away
  • The Knife should now be more responsive
  • HUD for stationary ATs

The eye/target does not go up down, only left-right and one time it stuck far down and look only floor!
