i start this thread.

In the next days i will collect arguments and than make a list.

ONLY write comments with the argument and a short reason why.

For a better overview list ur arguments with + or -
At the end of the week i will list these.

If you want to comment on an argument copy it and then write behind it.

It would be great if EA could add voting to the forum.

There's already a thread for a discussion on prone. I don't think listing out all the reasons + / - for prone is going to be useful because you could just take the time and read the whole thread. Who am I kidding though? Who really takes time to read these days?

+Prone does not encourage camping. I can camp in any position. Prone does not change that at all. (See BF:BC2, the ultimate campfest without prone)
+Prone rewards objective players, especially since the objectives have so little cover in them.
+It's been proven that going prone (in real life) decreases your chance of being shot by automatic fire by 90%. Spraying is bad. Prone protects you against it.
+Medic guns are pretty underpowered now at medium range compared to other rifles even when in a defensive role. Prone would change that.
+Prone encourages moving up and taking objectives. Getting shot less = more moving up.

+Prone allows my MG to to become more accurate with decreased recoil. Battlefield 2 was great. I cant see any BF without it. Even BC2 needed it.

If you really want prone... wait for BF3

Agreed.

Prone would be natural for the guy with the big MG's laying down suppresive fire.

And if anybody call that camping then bloody go around instead of rushing the MG nest.

I have one thing to say about prone. Realism ..I thought that's what Battlefield was all about...now the crying may commense about camping and whatever else..... Personally I think this is the same as the so called "tank problem".
