This is a great idea, it can be so frustrating not being able to say something w/o typing them out. Also, would this be similar to the radio system in 2142? That seemed like a really good system, if I can recall properly.

This is a MUST, specially the "cover me" and "negative". Here's my suggestion, what about something like "requesting CAS (close air support), over" but working like the spotted message, but only for Air units. The difference would be that when using this, the pilots (pilots ONLY) would see in his UI a flashing icon for a while (I think they're testing this type of icons in the pte for medic and ammo), to help them locating threats. It would tag an area instead of a specific unit, so pilots will know where to head, combined with tracers it could be very awesome, though I realize it's pretty complicated =P.

i dont think we need im flanking around i think there should be informational ones about the enemy like they are coming round right flank or left flank,and sniper on rooftop! or enemy advancing or retreating or we are being over run! somthings more informational
