maybe try to disable antivirus while playing?
for laptop cleaning of dust you need professional service (experienced person)

eazy way to clean your computer is unplug "everything" take off the side panel and use a painters brush and some compressed air if you have a video card clean the fan good ..if its a closed inbox type have someone take it apart to clean the heat sink Games heat up computers faster be cause of the extra processing and video/memory usage also clean your files pictures videos programs get rid of unwanted stuff maybe your harddrive is small i didnt if you have a internal video card i would upgrade it to newer a external one Also maybe buy a extra fan for cooling

How do you know your computer is running the same temps? what are the temps? when you start getting into 50*c on normal usage you have problems .. mine run at 32*c normal use 39*c to 43*c on game play and thats even. with MB video ram Cpu

AMD Phenom II x4 965 Black Edition O.C. @4.0 GHz. Asus Formula V Crosshair Motherboard. Corsair Vengence DDR3 Triple channel 8 Gig ram. ATI 7770 DDR5 2GB Videocard O.C.@GPU clock 1030 Mhz/Memory clock 1445Mhz/Win-7 64/Win-8 beta (This post was last modified: 22-10-2012 01:27 AM by Harryballs4u.)

Confused Your lap top uses REALTEK drivers..
when the game freezes the sound is repetitive?
If yes, Idea try playing without sound, just to make sure that is the sound.

Install restart on crash, let it handle the freezes, save your pc from certain doom.

you probably have some kind of conflict it's
1-program that conflicts with another program
2-Hardware that conflicts with a program
or if you added a hardware like a GP card or RAMs
it's probably the new hardware you added that has the conflict
hope this helps .....
the conflict will max your RAM that will crash your PC and restart it if that is the case
you should run windows Memory Diagnostic it will give you an idea about the problem
if you are running Win 7 (Go to control Panel /Administrative Tools /windows Memory Diagnostic)

Ok latest solution I found, and I haven't crashed ever again since I did it, is to install a freeware called Minimem. Set it to monitor BFP4F.exe every 100 seconds, and leave it running in the background. Just in case, I also have RestartOnCrash, another freeware, running in the background, monitoring the BFP4F.exe and in case it hangs, it will terminate the application 30 seconds after. This is my plan A and plan B, and it's been working well, worth a try.

I will add, that u should look for some help to rid your computer from SearchSettings. I think that is something u dont want and dont need. Basically its a virus.

Regards.

Well I am going to try minimem. If it'll help. It would be probably memory overflow. In short it means ... BFP4F uses some place of RAM where are some (probably system) other features and BFP4F is not allowed to work with it.
And sad news, if it will be this problem, is, that it is quite hard to find this bug. So we will be probably waiting for a long time to releasing suitable patch.
It is usually caused, when programmer do not concentrate on some details in cycles.

Ok. I did some tests, and it seems to be confirming my previous post.
I try to use Minimem and it helped. The game runs about two hours until it freeze.
BUT there is one serious problem with it. The crash, that happens after such a long time is more serious than that first one, that takes about 10 to 20 minutes to freeze.
In my opinion, the bug is quite large and debugging would not be so simple.
So we have to wait for patch, or use some smart garbage collector.
