Promotion Video

This promotion video is made to show you how effective a transport helicopter can be.
the transport helicopter is one of the strongest weapons in battlefield play4free. if you use it well and not as taxi. the mini guns can do really some heavy damage!
as well you can land on people, crash in to light vechicals, place c4 on it and let a whole tank explode!

For word
hello again.

I think most of you already know me by now and what i make for kind of suggestions.
Before you make a sign or a comment its important to read everything.
and come back to this topic regularly because there will be a lot of updates and changes.
(its maybe a idea to bookmark this page by using CTRL+D)

I know its a lot of reading, but it will be all worth if we all get this map up and running!
This isn't my topic. this is a topic of the battlefield play4free com untie and we cant make it with out your help and idea's.

So on a Saturday 4-8-2012 11:28 am (forum time)I was looking in the suggestion topic till i found the topic Transport heli - make it more usefull<<its a link click on it!

In this topic is a comment of the Mod HATE.

"The dev's cant find a way to make the black-hawk shine"

(02-05-2011 10:50 AM)HATE Wrote:  You know we look at the transports a couple times every other week.......or close to that.

Each time we come to the conclusion "mini-guns need a tiny power adjustment.....and the blackhawk needs a map where it can shine"

Because primarily we believe that the environment is what is making the transports feel unawesome more than the vehicle themselves......though the Mi17 is pretty weak. Sad

Hopefully the next vehicle mash-up map we do (I think many people on forums will be happy with which we selected.......I am pretty excited) will give the transports a better stage to perform on.

That's why I came with the idea of making a map with only Humvee's and all machine gun based transport.

For the Us Ad around 2 black hawks,1 little bird 2 Humvee's and 2 buggy's 1 aa and a tow on the base.

the question is for you gamers, devs and mods.
what do you want for a kind of map?

Do you want a city map?
Maybe a sea map or, something els?

So far i have concluded out of the comments that you made.
that the players would like to have a sea map. with boats and transport helicopters.
personly i think that planes/ attack copters would not be usable to make the transport shine.
what maybe a counter mesoir is to ad the little bird to the map.

Its all up to you. give me the suggestions and ill try to make a idea what you want.

end for word

We all know that using the black hawk or the mil requited teamwork.
you will need to have a good pilot and a engineer to repair to make it work.
here are some vid's to give you a impression how effective a blackhawk/mil crew can be.

Specifications (UH-60) and history
The UH-60 Black Hawk is a four-bladed, twin-engine, medium-lift utility helicopter manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft. Sikorsky submitted the S-70 design for the United States Army's Utility Tactical Transport Aircraft System (UTTAS) competition in 1972. The Army designated the prototype as the YUH-60A and selected the Black Hawk as the winner of the program in 1976, after a fly-off competition with the Boeing Vertol YUH-61.
The UH-60A entered service with the Army in 1979, to replace the Bell UH-1 Iroquois as the Army's tactical transport helicopter. This was followed by the fielding of electronic warfare and special operations variants of the Black Hawk. Improved UH-60L and UH-60M utility variants have also been developed. Modified versions have also been developed for the U.S. Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. In addition to U.S. Army use, the UH-60 family has been exported to several nations. Black Hawks have served in combat during conflicts in Grenada, Panama, Iraq, Somalia, the Balkans, Afghanistan, and other areas in the Middle East.

My entry [Image: hihi.gif]
I call it Mekong [Image: smile_color.gif]

Notes:
 • Pink line are underground caves below the mountain
 • 2 infantry trails for flag B, very steep and exposed
 • big bridge is the same as the Myanmar rope bridge, very narrow and no cover
 • arrows are stardard bridges with no side railings
 • light dotted green is the beaches and elevations 0-20m, dark green is 21-50m, gray is 51-90m, sand colour is elevations 90m+
 • D is inside the cave system that is under the second mountain, and is positioned on a piece of dry land within the small underground lake. When capped 5 boats will spawn around it
 • Blobs of blue and orange are base areas for US & RU, aka the out of bounds areas for the opposing team
 • If EAsy would go the troubles to make a Mi-24 for this map, I suggest a pliot seat with FAB bombs and/or mines, a gunner with gatling or autocannon, 2 window gunners with PKT's, and 2 other passenger seats. As for Ka-31, give it mines and bombs and make it 1 person only vehicle

Maybe the mountain/s should be higher? More distant from each other? flags D and A should spawn TOWs and/or buggies and/or GAZs/HUMMWVs? a fifth flag between the mountains? This map sucks? A desert map? A urban one? Discuss

Player Suggestions If you make a good suggestion it will be placed here.

(28-01-2013 02:56 PM)tommychasseur4 Wrote:  It would be very nice to see this idea added in to the game. This new map would encourage teamplay since it's something that BFP4F is missing, and we need a new map anyway. Also, I'd prefer them adding it as rush first rather then conquest.

Two conditions though:
- If the transport helicopters are buffed, I don't want them OP like they are in battlefield bad company 2.
- There should be maximum 2 anti-aircraft and if so, only at base or at the flags nearest to the bases (in other words not in the middle of the map)

Ideas:
- Being able to place medic/ammo packs in the helicopter (and so that they work).
- Make it like in battlefield 3 where the guns are more stabilised even when the pilot's moving a lot.
- Improve the FOV of the guns so that the gunners can see in front and behind the helicopter.

A dev needs to see this since this is a very nice original idea!

And yeah agree with sea-air transport combo, in a jungle. say the map have only OH-6's and 3 firebases. The middle one could be on a stranded mountain island, surronded by water. On feet, there's only 3 trails heading up, making airlifts the obvious choice.
(Or maybe we could have a 4th flag in a system of water caves/tunnels, then we can have epic boat chases)

GSh-6-23M
The Gryazev GSh-6-Shipunov-23 (Russian military designation / GRAU index 9A768) is a six-barreled Gatling gun in the caliber of 23 mm, at the time of the Cold War in the Soviet Union has been developed. To date, the impact of strong weapon used in some Russian fighters use.
The GSh-6-23 differs from most American multi-barreled cannon in that it has no external means, but a gas operated is. The gas operated GSh-6-23 removes the on-board systems of the aircraft no energy. The starting time of tube rotation is up to the maximum firing rate less than an external drive - this represents a significant advantage in combat, will be at the after tripping in a short time, typically by getting as many bullets into the target.
As cartridge 23 × 115 mm PM 23 may be used which are strapped or supplied without belt. The electric ignition of the gun uses a 27-volt DC system. The cannon has also features ten pyrotechnic cartridges, similar to the Western European in the turret guns in order to load the gun misfires in again and eject the defective cartridge can.
The maximum cadence of the GSh-6-23 with 9,000 and 10,000 rounds per minute is very high. It is up to 66 percent higher than that of the U.S. M61 Vulcan . The rate of fire of the weapon is limited for tactical reasons, because the length of a burst of fire is very short. The not for the dogfight designed MiG-31, for example, leads with only 260 shots, which were fired in two seconds.
Found using the GSh-6-23, for example in the Sukhoi Su-15 Flagon, Su-24 Fencer, the MiG-31 Foxhound, and some other aircraft, where it is still in use. Part of the weapon in a weapon container installed in the tubes at 45 ° down, right and left can be moved.

Parameter Data
Type six-barreled Gatling gun

From playing BF2 I know how well the Transport Helo's can change the game. A good pilot and a good crew (gunners, 2 engis to repair and assaults/medics to dismount when capping) can rule the map.

Many times I've taken the BH and capped A, B, and C on Oman and sometimes D all in one round trip because I had gunners that knew what they were doing, and possibly some luck in there as well Wink

I'd love to see something like this

And yeah agree with sea-air transport combo, in a jungle. say the map have only OH-6's and 3 firebases. The middle one could be on a stranded mountain island, surronded by water. On feet, there's only 3 trails heading up, making airlifts the obvious choice.
(Or maybe we could have a 4th flag in a system of water caves/tunnels, then we can have epic boat chases)

Iwo Jima set to modern day? It had a base inside the mountain, plus tunnels, plus bunkers set into the side of the mountain

FFWD to :50
