Regular M1911 Useless

So today let's cry (discuss) about the M1911.

I want to point out that the Regular version is umm.. completely useless?

Before the pistols and shotgun nerf, damage and speed was the M1911 series' signature specifications. This means that enemies in CQC can be easily taken down with a few hits and very high ROF.

But now after the nerf, the damage is just disappointing- It's basically a fast M9 pistol. I actually compared the two weapons and it matters barely any.

Oh yeah some might say well there's the speed right? Right, but two points:

1. Why would anyone use it? It barely damages with 7 round magazine not even capable of killing enemies at even MEDIUM range with the ENTIRE magazine, and you DYING to a primary at close range where it is supposed to excel... Why would anyone pick this over any primary in particular... It's useless and obsolete.

2. The M9 has like 15 rounds? This has 7... So really that 999 funds is a total waste.

Too long; didn't give a damn: The regular M1911 is useless and obsolete for pretty much anything AND don't buy the regular M1911 because *insert first point*.

M9 can save u, not often, but it can if u know how to use it... CQC HS at least 40 HP, so... try it out!

The M1911 never saved me more times than the M9 had.

Another interesting question I'd like to ask is what is the purpose of pistols... like how is it superior in multiple ways to the primary? If you run out of bullets? Maybe you'd be dead by then ANYWAY. And if it isn't (obviously), what's its purpose...

The 999 funds pistols are next to useless, all of em. Pistols like the REX may be used to spice the experience up but definitely not these ones.

Screw M9. It's too slow , too inaccurate, and too weak.

if u r sniper (good pistol is must! - u miss HS? pull out gun and finish ur target), cause it is more accurate then some primary, it is better in hipfire, when u run out of bullets, when u r low on ammo, when u need to reload, when u c a low HP target, cause it has quicker ADS, cause its fun, cause u can troll, cause u r good etc.

just practice and try to hit HS.

Regular M1911 is an excellent sidearm. You just don't get the philosophy of a sidearm.

It's not. That's why it's called a secondary weapon and not a second primary. It's a backup for when your primary weapon is either not practical or not accessible in the situation.

Also, since the last round of rebalancing all the pistols reward skill shots a lot more than they used to. If you're not trying to improve your precision and get headshots with them, you're probably wasting your time with pistols in general.

The basic M1911 is good because it's much cheaper than most of the other pistols and is better than the M9 you start with (yes, it is). If you're finding it useless, it may simply be because you personally have no use for it because you can access either better or more preferred options.

^ pretty much this. AS when you use a bolt-action SR, just do a quickscope then pull out your accurate pistol to finish the enemy quickly. For other situations, normal MP443 > normal M1911.

M1911 - for cold blooded people can hit heads when their pants are in fire
MP443 - for those who spraing bullets when their pants are in fire (i think its best pistol in compare price/quality)

Sidearm is something you pick when magazine is gone or have no bullets, its no piont with using its like primary, at least if you have rex or Deagle, you can try, but i dont think it will be more effective than standard weapon.

its amazing for snipers. i wouldn't recommend it on assaults or engineers though. pretty good on medics to.

The regular m1911 is not a useless pistol at all... it can kill if you hit with every shot from close range, plus it has a very quick reload and RoF. It's excelent for finishing off enemies because of that, and it can actually kill a half-decent player if you can hit with every shot. Making it an excelent pistol if you can aim not too badly.

edit: also, if you can connect 1 or 2 of your bullets with their head, you'll knock them off pretty fast and easily.

i have no trouble using any version of the 1911. with basic version you can kill 2 people per mag no problem.
