When I click "Play Now" on the homepage to download the game to start I get the message "An error occurred: Failed to download config file."
What can I do to install the game without any problem like this?

Yes, but nothing there helped me, did everything mentioned here, allow Firefox to leave the site as trusted and deactivated my Firewall and Avast temporarily but the error remained, what do I do?

Use the correct URL to start the game: http://battlefield.play4free.com/en/playnow (note the DOT between "battlefield" and "play4free" Wink )

Look for entries containing ea.com in your local hosts file located at
Code:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts

You can open that file using Notepad or any other text editor. If you find any line containing "ea.com", delete them or put a # (pound symbol) in front of them.

Look for entries containing ea.com in your local hosts file, located here:
Code:
C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
You can open that file with Notepad. If there are any lines similar to these:
Code:
127.0.0.1    gosredirector.ea.com
127.0.0.1    gosgvaprod-qos01.ea.com
127.0.0.1    gosiadprod-qos01.ea.com
127.0.0.1    gossjcprod-qos01.ea.com
127.0.0.1    demangler.ea.com
127.0.0.1    vmp.tools.gos.ea.com
127.0.0.1    akamai.com
delete them, or comment them by putting a pound # symbol infront of them. If there are none such entries, do NOT add them Wink

If the error persists, attach your HiJackThis.log, please (see guide in my signature: "Help us to help you").
