No it doesn´t. Other LMGs need a buff and you are the only thing that need to be nerfed. I suggest to cut off your arms so that you won´t suggest such nonsens anymore.

I've had draw-down situations, SCAR-L vs MG36 at maybe 10m, and it usually wins. Fact is, EVERY round hits, real hard to beat 100% accuracy.



Of course, there could have been damage-enhancing attachments involved in the 10-15 times that's happened.

If you'd read the first posts you may have noticed that I dont complain about something that kills me. When playing Assault / Engineer / Recon I never get much problems facing enemy LMGs, mostly cause I would call me a very good Engineer / Recon and a at least good Assault. I just started to play Medic again and noticed that my gun acts like a uber laser beam. In every Battlefield game I totally fail with light machine guns, as a 'range lovin' guy I cant handle that inaccuracy. But the LMGs in Bf:P4f are so fuckin accurate, I shoot down all those camping snipers easily. Got a ~200 meter range kill with my XM8ar yesterday using the Red Dot. Not that it was a lucky shot, just a couple (!!) of bursts to the anti air at [D].

Sorry, but for me a gun with the same damage, a higher rate of fire, way more ammo, about the same recoil and reload time and even more accuracy compared to an assault rifle, that 100% hits with the first bullet at every range looks quite overpowered to me. Especially if its meant to be a supporting weapon.

I dont know about all the LMGs, but those I played more often (XM8ar, MG36, M249, M240b, MG3) are too good compared to assault rifles. The others dont look that much worse..

RPK has it´s limits. It´s not the strongest weapons without damage enhancing mag attachments. If you choose those you´d have to conserve ammo as good as possible due to it having only 40 rounds per mag.
If you´d go for the, let´s say casket mag option, you´d get 100 rounds per mag but no advantage damage-wise. In CQC scenarios, that´s where the weapon shines because of it´s awesome hipfire accuracy, you need that extra punch. Therefore CQC ammo would be the best option.

Yet, don´t forget ammunition will be scarce. That´s probably it´s greatest weakness. Also it´s range isn´t the best and the recoil is much higher than on the MG36.

RPK-M has got 40 rounds per mag and a total amount of 4 mags = 160 rounds
and
M240B has got 90 rounds per mag and a total amount of 2 mags = 180 rounds
