I think engineers should have to hold a button to confirm an RPG lock on traced vehicles because when a vehicle is traced, we truly have no idea when we do and do not have a lock, and that is when things tend to get crazy.

The rocket homes in anyway, providing the target has a tracer dart stuck in it. If you make sure you give the shot enough elevation to clear any obstacles that may be in the flightpath, you're golden. Engie will be easy mode with target lock, it's fine how it is.

The rockets don't always home in........Which is fine, but an indicator would be nice.

The rockets home in 99% of the time on all vehicles, but 0% of the time on the RUS APC ... that's a bug.

But yeah, an indicator sound would be nice.

If we get a sound, it should be 'deet-deet-deet-deet....BU-WHEEEEEP'

And the opposite, hear a sound when you are locked-on. So you know to abbandon the vehicle or move. Has been there in bf2 and bc2.

It doesn't need a button for lock on, just an indicator like in Bad Company 2. It's annoying when you can't tell if your locked or not without just holding on them for a long time.

the RPG is always locked on, basically if you see a white square somewhere on the map, just look up and fire the RPG, chances are you'll hit something lol, except when its the BTR

Yeah that doesn't happen at all lol You have to focus on the tracer to get the lock on.

I don't know if the real RPG can home in that much, but to me it seems unrealistically so.
You get rockets sometime that do complete 180's to reach a target, let alone "air striking"

With all that's coming that will be able to break a tank, I think it's a little much.

Real RPGs can't home at all. They're not missiles, they're RPGs. Rocket propelled grenades. Basically what you get when you tack a pressure-sensitive grenade onto a firework and shove it in a tube. I don't mind the one in the game being mildly seeking toward the tracer, but that's emphasis on "mildly". I hope the current system is only a placeholder, and when it's finished it'll gravitate toward the nearest tracer, homing in stronger the closer it gets. That way you can't automatically hit anything if you're not already aiming very close to it.

Yep... I wish that when a tracer is stuck on your vehicle that it makes an indicator like a buzzing sound.
