Stand to Attention Soldiers!

The smell of death wafts listlessly on the breeze, ushering in details of a Closed Beta character wipe.

The end of January/beginning of February will mark a significant step forward in the Battlefield Play4Free Closed Beta phase as we add new content to the game . Accordingly we will be carrying out a full wipe. Everything related to your Beta account, other than forum posts and access to the Beta section of the site and game, will be removed. Therefore when you log back into the site after the wipe, the name of the first soldier you create will also be your display name on the site and forum. Choose wisely .

We intend this to be the one and only wipe that we carry out as it will be possible to spend Battlefunds in Battlefield Play4Free shortly thereafter.

They let you keep everything when battlefield heroes went from closed to open, etc. You got to keep your characters, their names, their weapons, and so on. wah wah wah wah wah wah wah wah.......lol

all doubters, look at it this way: we've seen <25% content, here comes the other >75%. a wipe only makes sense. plus no more double assault class on accident for me

I welcome the "wipe" as it is necessary to fix all those 12+ level soldiers, on top of all the other bugs that are hopefully going to disappear. In my opinion testing means periodically losing all achievements in order to clearly oversee all of the content given for the test - inspection if you like.
This is the point I'd like to say that we are still in the closed beta, this is not the full game, reaching maximum level and the others should only be the spice. Leave if you will, your duty is to try out the given content and give feedback (locate, report new bugs, support the threads about bugs you have if found).

Why are you whining? It's all fine to delete/wipe all characters.

Just believe that you got your hyper/uber/pro/ownage items and weapons.
And than a new player starts playing, and you'll see that everyone's having awesome weapons and everyone's above level 20.
It would be just unfair.

AND REMEMBER! IT'S JUST THE BETA, NOT THE GAME IT SELF!
