A grenade launcher flare is like a normal flare just that this one you can launch only from a GL.

There should be alternatives to all gadgets; so instead of training to use the XM-25, you train to use smaller grenade launchers (so not 40mm) and instead of smoke grenades you train to use tactical grenades.
