PTE This Weekend

Howdy Soldiers,
Starting this Friday (3/31) we will host the latest weapon tuning patch on our PTE servers. This release features balance changes to the pistol and shotgun weapons and incorporates the feedback from those excellent players who joined in on our PTE test last weekend. Based on your feedback we have done the following changes:

Shotguns
Long Range Damage reduced

Cluster-Spread increased for all USAS versions

Increased USAS recoil

Reduced USAS Ammo

Normal: 6 round mag

Veterans: 8 Round mag

Elite: 10 round mag


Pistols
Long range damage significantly reduced

Shots To Kill at long range – 25+ meters

Head Shot: 3+

Body Shot: 8+


The purpose for this latest PTE play session is to let all of you have a chance to try the new weapon balance before it goes live next week. We will also collect any additional feedback on weapons for use over the next series of gameplay balance releases.

try giving us US servers. last time i tried to go on pte ( meaning the one from this week) there were no servers up besides europe servers.

it will go up next week? truly? I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT!!!

only thing that worries me now is the pistol accuracy. now, i don't play the PTE myself, but i'm not reading anything about pistol accuracy adjustments. isn't it the accuracy that made the M1911 and the REX overpowered in the first place? seriously. or otherwise the recoil. it worries me that the pistols can actually 3-hit kill at long range with a pistol with headshots.
sounds like a lot of work, but considering how accurate certain pistols are, i fear it may be easier then it seems...

*edit* oh yeah, before i forget. what makes what i mentioned up there ^ even worse is that the REX actually gets a rate of fire boost.

The USAS was tottaly fine on the last test, and I admit the basic version was already hard to use... didn't need another nerf at all! Well, my guess is that the basic version of the USAS will be tottaly useless, Veteran will be +/- like the basic version of the last test, and Elite will be a bit inferior to the basic one of the public game.

It was nerfed on the latest test, and they did it right. I pretty much enjoyed going OTF-only... that is, untill others started owning me with their OP LMG's... QQ
