Hi all

Im starting a new project by myself.
Well, i love the Battlefield series. And i play Battlefield Play4Free since the very beggining... I always read the forum and sometimes post something here, and one of the most suggested things in BF Play4Free forums, are new maps. Peoples that want to suggest a new map try to describe it trough a wall of text or try to make some kind of draw (most times on Paint). So, i came up with a idea: A Map Editor! I know what you are thinking, but i'm not talking about a map editor where you create a map and play it on the game, i wan't a editor where players can bring their ideas to life and share with other players. This will obviously improve the community experience about giving new map ideas for the developers. I'm not asking Mod's to do it. I will do it!

I started creting this Editor on Unity3D Game Engine, and trying to use objects that matches the game style. It would be awesome if the devs could provide me some 3D models. Smile
As soon as i think it's enough functional, i will make some kind of website for the Editor and begin Beta tests.

I will use the Battlefield Play4Free forum (this thread) to keep you updated on my progress.

Whats the point though? user created content can't be used in game. Or is this just more to show EA what kinds of maps we want by creating maps?

Yes, it's a tool for community sharing of map ideas. The content will not be used on the game(it's made on another engine, it will not work). But i want it to work a way that anyone can install the software and "play" on maps of other players.

thank you wizlawz, but how i have specified on the main thread, i prtend to use Unity for this project since the begin.
I have many hours of experience on Unity3D, 3D Max, blender etc. I will try to get as many models as i can to put in the editor, because modeling takes too long. Anyway, i will keep everyone updated.

5000$ with all the add-ons (for iOS and Android).
Unity3D Game Engine is used on the EA Play4Free game "Tiger Woods PGA TOUR Online"

PS.: thanks Silvanoshi!

Well, i think this and that are two very different things. I want to create a kind of Community tool, not a mod (the game is fun how it is).
