I understand the point of raising the amount of exp needed to level up in the 2011/09/15 update, but the difference from pre-update to post-update is ridiculous. It's been a month now and I've only gotten up 3 levels across my soldiers with a modest amount of time played. With the tier 3 update coming soon, I would request that the exp requirements be lowered to a reasonable level, such as the 100 hours that Battlefield 3 estimates to fully unlock a kit. Right now we are in the 100 days range, requiring a WoW-esque grind to attain maximum level, even with the exp boost.
Please consider adjusting the exp-level requirements in the coming update (besides, you make the real money on the guns.)

I agree, I think EA should find a compromise between pre- and post-update levels.

I started to play with 3rd and 4th soldier (engi + recon) post-update, it's annoying and hard, for recon I constantly have to play with tanks, APCs, choppers to do more damage and earn more points, I don't have time to use sniper rifles and have 12/4 K/D

As far as I can tell, the update multiplied required experience by 10. Twice as much experience would have been enough of a change in my opinion. To be honest, the huge number looming over my head makes me want to play less than if the level was within an hour or two's reach.

And it's not like being level 20 on my Recon has made me quit playing him entirely; I tend to play him the most and experiment with changing my trainings to play as a super sniper or ace fighter pilot. Stuck at level 13 on my assault, all my points are used for getting the sprint boost and grenades, with little room to customize otherwise.

100,000 experience to level just makes me want to turn off the game right then and there.

people do prefer being able to go through levels quicker, even if each level means less.

suggestions: Pilot skill training * ^[CBC]^ Closed Beta Community ^[CBC]^ * Right click = remove 1 training

I think they will, I think they just put the xp up, as a stop gap to prevent players from getting to far, before t3 and the extra 30 lvls that come with it are out.
