Hotel California [RESCUED]

Cali #1 (24/7 Oman) has been getting some really bad lag spikes for the past couple hours, it's almost unplayable.

One second you're running along fine, next you stop and are jumping around all over the place to a destroyed car that isn't there. lol

I was actually going to say something about this to you today, Marky. Then I saw this post. #4 is pretty much always empty unless the Cali Clan jumps in en mass to get it to populate. Shutting it down is the logical move.

* UPDATE 10/27/2011 *

Seeing the state of the game as it is now. 300,000+ to rank to the next level with no end in sight. Today was the first time I played in what seems like a month and I don't see any worth leveling P4F to whatever level it is as well as leveling another set of BF3 characters.

I might keep one server up (24/7 Oman) for a couple months but after that Hotel Cali will be getting a BF3 server. The cost now of running HC on P4F isn't outweighing the benefit.

However, a suggestion was brought up that if anyone wanted to submit donations to keep Hotel California - P4F up and running that would totally work. I don't mind that. But it entirely up to the HC / P4F community.

meh, though i initially liked hotel cali, i lately noticed that it houses quite some spawnrapers when the admins are on another of their servers

I'll be taking some visits when you get your server up in BF3, and when my rig is ready.

I contacted Branzone and asked a few questions about stability with servers.

Apparently ALL 64 man servers are experiencing lag; it doesn't matter if your ping is good or bad, it's just what's happening atm.

Hopefully today's maintenance will fix some lag issues. But until then imma hold off on getting one.
