there is a problem with your connection

Hi all,

New to this game but I get a strange error almost every game. Normally the game loads I'm in game and all of a sudden the text; there is a problem with your connection; appears. After about 5seconds im automatically kicked out of the game back to my homescreen. Never had any issues with an online game so far... how to solve this? It's the most annoying thing ever! Played BF2 back in the good old days and I love this free version, wanna master it! But I cant even play a full game... Took me one full day to get to rank 4 or so.. Dc..dc.dc.. what to do?

I had the same problem until I deactivated UPnP from my router.

I get this problem too, and I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with my internet connection (I never timed out or lagged anywhere else).
It's just frustrating, specially when you have an awesome game going for you! This bug has to be one of the first in line to be fixed, it's just too damn annoying!

I get this problem too -There is a Problem with YOur connection.. - lags are killing me... sometimes i cant join to a server. JOINING GAME and 15 minutes waiting for nothing... Fix this quick, we cant play.... :/

OK, just de-activated UPnP from my router. Couldn't find out what the default pass was, turned out to be 'changeme' LOL!
will report back on results, if it works post a tut on how to do it. However, it is different for every router.

I was getting the stupid "there is a problem with your connection message" in every game after about 20 minutes.. I disabled the Upnp from windows too and that problem disappeared.. U can easily search how you can disable upnp in windows..

Same problem here, i my isp is virgin media in Uk and my router is virgin media superhub.. i disabled Upnp on that and on windows and also SSDP like you said but i still get the problem.. Dont have a clue why im getting this, ive played over 10 online shooters like this and no problem. Have to admit this is toughest problem ive encountered in gaming

well to fix this i usually disconnect from my internet and reconnect. Well it also depends if any other things are opened like when i was uploading a youtube video at the same time i was playing it would say a connection problem.
it can also sometimes be your internet or computer and try not to do something else while your playing this too. This game also is best for windows 7 or for a fast computer.

with 5 pink and 10 mbits net and 3 upload every time i get this fcking not so good "there a problem with your connection" fix that not so good we cant play!

I got this too a couple times last night. In fact, it hosed my entire internet connection to where I had to power-down my DSL router and reboot it before I could get back on the internet, both times.

Make sure you're joining a game in your country/area... so if you live in USA, you would join a game hosted in USA.. If that doesnt work, it may be your computer issues, or simply, EA's fault.
