after the update from 15june bf p4f wont load anymore , all i get to see is the loading screen filled with black and hearing the theme song and when i klick on another program and want to switch back its says programs doestn respond but i can stil here the music play .... ? i,v already deinstalled it. plz help so i can play again

I have same problems that METALIANZ. I uninstalled the application of my computer, but nothing to make. I even tried the solution proposed, and create a new soldier, but nothing... And for the moment I always have a black screen with the background music... A new solution, plz help me

ok may be have find the solution!!

Go to C:\Users\XXxx\Documents\Battlefield Play4Free\WebCache.
Now, select all the files and delete it.

After go to c:\Users\XXxx\Documents\Battlefield Play4Free\mods.
Now, select all the documents and delete it.

Empty your trash.

You can play now

This didn't work for me either. really annoying if your trying to get people to play and get interested in BF3 and its so buggy it doesn't start. Really lame. also no solutions.

I played without problems for over 2 months, Last time I played yesterday.
Now the startup window is just black for about 3 mins, then it turns white and I see a weird menu on the left side listing my name ,apparel etc. basically the whole Startup menu ,but only in text format .

after about 10 mins(not every time ) The game appears to look normal, with 3d Model standing there and i can browse thru the menus as they are displayed correctly now, but I still cant join any games cause it says I don't have a primary weapon selected????

I did not change or alter any game files
and also i had this happen 2 times before ,but after restart of game it would disappear.
now i restarted about 40 times reinstalled twice, updated VGA driver ,tried the start with Mozilla Firefox 32 bit and iexplorer 32 bit and iexplorer 64 bit.

Here my main specs.

6gig ram
amd athlon x2 64 bit 6000+
Amd radeon hd 5770 pro
Windows Server 2008 R2 64bit
I searched everything i could find and tried everything i have read in the forum
about this issue

Any suggestions?

Updating your video driver should solve the issue for you. Your currently installed driver is from 2009. You should find the latest driver either on the AMD/ATI website, or if that doesn't work, on the Alienware website

Your integrated video chip (a "VIA/S3G UniChrome IGP") does not support PixelShader 2.0 which is a hardware feature that is required by the game engine.

You will need to buy a video card for the PCI-Express x16 slot that supports PixelShader 2.0 or higher to be able to play the game.
