Punkbuster?

Can someone explain this to me? Everytime I try to connect with my friend or play in a game it says I got kicked by punkbuster. No reason just kicked. Never did this to me in the beta and I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong. Is it related to ping or something? More of a console gamer but would like to give PC Battlefields a try.

Nobody can help me with this? Getting annoyed at being booted every game. Somebody I can call/email to fix this?

try to update punkbuster

update punkbuster google it and download for your windows version and also use a modern browser like ie9 or firefox 4 when you got punkbuster add your game in the list for playforfree then clcik update on it highlighted then your ready to go !!!

oh if you still kicked then your connection is poor try getting a better broadband provider or tell them you need interleaving enabled/disabled if you not know what that means google it lol

Don't bother with updating PB. You can't update it. There hasn't been an update released for it. Look in your game folder in ~EA Games\Battlefield Play4Free\pb folder and post what the file pbcl.log says. There are two pbcl.logs so make sure you post the one inside the "pb" folder and not the one in the base directory. That will tell you why PB is kicking you and then we'll know how to make it stop.

If its kicking you their is a chance that it has placed a log describing the reason.

Figured I would post the section about Updating PunkBuster since it was mentioned as a possible fix.

Updating PunkBuster:

I started having same problem after running the last up date. Get into the game for about 5 seconds then get kicked by punkbuster. Hopefully updating the file works. Thanks for the help.

This is my PunkBuster log. I get "there is a problem with your connection" and "kicked by PunkBuster". Rarely, bfp4f.exe crashes. Please, help make PunkBuster stop kicking me.

try disabling your antivirus while playing?

clear your game cache and webcache by going to:

my documents/battlefield play4free/webcache (delete everything inside)

and then go to: documents/battlefield play4free/mods/main and delete everything into cache

well there 2 things that can be done :
1: remove this game and go play bf 3 alpha
2: EA fix it by new update but i know that new update will be long time to wait so for now play bf 3 or other game

i keep getting kicked by punk buster and i checked my log and this is the msg i get... WARNING: PB Kicks for Name Spamming and Non-standard Characters and Level 2 PB Restrictions on this Server... what do i do to fix the problem

p.s. some times its level 1 instead of level 2
