Why this? Because there are a lot of players who don't think of what to do, they just rush straightforward and get killed within a few seconds. By "thinking what to do" I mean thinking on wich path to choose to get the best results and trick the opponent. It might look boring or complicated, but it works great every time. After some practice everything will come natural, and you'd be surprised to know how much this can improve your gameplay, your skills and your score.
Getting started Don't worry if you didn't become a killing-machine from the first time: thinking on the next action is not very easy when in the middle of a firefight. If you are a good team-working player you may have some advantages, as team-work is almost essential. A good thing to do is to get used to all weapons and learn how they work in different situations. Once you found your favorite set of weapons you can use their advantages and disadvantges to think of the best thing to do. General Battlefield Play4Free offers many good tools to make fighting easier, you just need to know how to use them. Check the corners and clear them. Many people don't do that and run straight. After a few seconds they get killed by an enemy and start whining. When you're trying to slip past an enemy zone corners can become your worst nightmare so always remember to check them. A good tactic is to aim down your sights and crouch, then start moving on one side and pointing the crosshair close to the corner's edge. This way you'll be able to answer enemy fire quickly without exposing yourself too much. If you know that there are more than two enemies behind a corner throw a grenade just a bit further: in 90% of cases they won't see it and they'll get killed. Trying to go rambo and moving left-and-right is not useful and, unless you're very lucky and your opponents are noobs, you'll get killed. Shooting while moving. When you move your shots are very unaccurate. If you move forward or backward you will spray your bullets, while if you move sideways you'll have to apply a "correction" towards the opposite direction. This may change from weapon to weapon and depending on the distance you're shooting from. There is no better way to learn how to do that than practice, after a while you'll start doing that automatically when needed. Move with teammates. A bunch of soldiers is much more powerful than a lonely wolf. If you move with teammates you have greater chances of survival and victory. If you're an assault you must spend a point on the "Request Reinforcements" skill: this way you'll be able to get some mates near you quickly. This is very useful when you're trying to capture a well defended flag or one behind enemy lines. Don't do that randomly, you could get the whole team on the wrong side and they won't be able to defend flags! Locate your killer. When you spawn, if you're looking at the right direction you'll see for one second the name tag of your killer. This can be very useful to locate him, predict him and take revenge. Of course your enemy will move in 90% of cases, but if he's a camper or he's nearby you'll have greater chances to take him out. Use your teammates' bad luck to your advantage. Imagine this situation: a mate is in your front and while passing in front of a corner he gets shot. You can use this to your advantage: try to understand where the fire is coming from and make a guess on the opponent's position; then you can move in and take him out. *work in progress* (This post was last modified: 02-05-2011 06:25 PM by shadow00.) |

This is Battlefield,
you win or loose as Team. You don´t need to be the best Player, even the best one gets killed by 2 assaults who get constantly healed and revived by medics |

@Stiner I know. If you read the guide you'll notice that team-working is essential.

I think moving left and right helps, and some people like jumping around corners.

jumping around corners is not good, as you can't aim quick enough.

xD What i mean is that if there is a distant enemy you have to stop and aim down your sight, and that can be a loss of time.

Don't worry about that. Video is almost complete. Yesterday I made it but unfortunately my video editor crashed just before saving. I have to do again the remaining 40% of the video -.-
