No this is f2p there is no unlocks out side training points, the rest must be bought with credits or bf

Indeed, the G3 is the assualt classes' default weapon.
There is no earning of weapons like in the retail BF games, you buy them with creds, or drop real cash for others.
All classes start out with a default weapon and M9 pistol, and knife and tracer dart gun.

Some guns like the UMP and the newer stuff is real money only unfortunately.
But everything else can be bought with credits(except clothing).

You rent (or purchase) these items through the in game store. Weapons specifically in the weapons tab of the main menu when you start the game up. Hover orver one you are interesting in to see price ranges, click to see stat information. click on the small cart icon to purchase using a method you prefer.

Unlimited durations are only available in Battlefunds.

when it's out of beta and i purchased things with real money like say a perm .50 sniper, would that still be there when the game is out of the beta stage?

Yes all permenant items will remain on your account - we have had the final wipe of XP and equipment.

Games like these tend to be in beta for a long time, so offically the game usually starts when the beta goes open

Credits, aka "silver money", are earned by playing the game. They are handy if you are looking to test a weapon out before throwing BF at it for permanence. When purchasing an item in the cart, you'll notice that you can select using either credits or BF to pay for it (aside from the "unlimited" duration.

*Some items do not have the option to pay with credits, so you'll have to use BF to buy it if you really want it.

Battlefunds, aka "gold money" or BF, are purchased with real world money and are the only way to permanently add items to your account.
