Note that the videos in this guide are unlisted, so only people in the closed beta reading this thread can see them, if you want me them taken down I will
Part 1: The Basics (How the snipers handle, when they are the most accurate and such) Many people say that sniping is too weak and that its too hard getting kills, I used to agree with this until i analyzed how the sniper rifles worked and why I was always missing my shots, here is a small thing I noticed about recoil on the rifles: (note that the gun used in these tests is the m24 and things might be different for the other rifles) Analysis of sniper accuracy 1 As you can see, when you move while scoped, sway is gone, yet your rifle becomes much more inaccurate, many people don't notice this, and wonder why they keep missing shots, well, this is why ![]() So we just discovered that the sniper rifles will have reliable accuracy as long as your standing still and scoped in, a side effect of this is that if your good enough, you should have no problem "quick scoping" people at medium to short range. Just remember, if your first shot doesn't kill someone and they are shooting back at you, its probably better to switch to your side arm, as shown in this next video. Quick Scoping Example it may be hard to see (bad computer) but i was standing completely still and managed to quickly get off a 64 point shot on that player, afterwards, i quickly changed to my m9 to do the dirty work. I have discovered that this combo is the most effective way of killing at medium range. For long range sniping, i find it better to take a more rhythmic approach, find a piece of cover, take a quick shot, and run back behind it. and wash, rinse repeat this. as evident in this video here: Rythamic Sniping Technique just remember to stand still and take your time, and your shots will always be on target, if this thread is helpful i might extend it to cover weapons and abilities (hopefully when tier 3 comes out) I hope this helps! I suppose it doesn't matter from that perspective then perhaps it would be better to wait ![]() oh man please dont use bright reds and greens. Try Blues and Greens or Blues and reds. Too bright of colors hurts people's eyes. Edit: Much better. Still sticks out but doen't hurt!

Maybe the rythmic approach is better if you also pop up on the other side of your cover?

Nice but i think it is too short, imo you need to add at least things like bullet drop, motion sensors and camping spots with camping strategy.

meh, u forgot to mention bullet drop and if you turn of camera shake your sniperrifle is 2x more accurate, also, when continiously hiding behind the same piece of cover and continiously popping up at the same place, you're a way to easy target, jump, duck, run and hide unexpected

Also, you should probably talk about "bullet drop" aka gravity. This is probably why so many people are not getting the amazing kills that they are aiming for--literally.

There's an option to turn off camera shake in the options menu, and it appears to have improved my sniping... Dunno if it gets rid of "sway" however.
