Here you can find Maps of the Map Karkand, i stopped working on this a long time, there are already enough Oman and other Maps´ Strategies
!

Maps:
  • Flanks
  • Sniper Hot-Spots
  • Roads & Narrow Streets
  • Outposts for Recons and Keypositions

Intentionaly Excluded:
  • Spawnpoints for every map because of Spawnreaping (put pressure on me and i may make it)
  • Vehicle Spawn for Karkand, at Karkand every vehicle spawns at main base
  • Bounds, which are already foreseeable

Karkand, the City CQC Map with Tanks and APCs

Flanks you should use, Flanks you should protect:

[Image: attachment.php?attachhash=88cc686bf91279...698149f053]

Description:
  • Black: Shows the route where US and RU may fight each other while flanking on this route
  • Red: RU Route
  • Blue: US Route
  • White dot: Flag. Take it, hold it, love it!

Here you can Snipe, from here you get Sniped

[Image: attachment.php?attachhash=d43a565b59b0f1...2b0e1ae9d0]

Description:
  • Red dots: Often/Usual used Camping Spots
  • Yellow dot: Rarely/Never used Camping Spots
  • White dots: Flag. Take it, hold it, love it!

Roads where you can ride your Bike Tank and narrow Streets where you can hide or slip threw

[Image: attachment.php?attachhash=a28e32cdf04e93...a3ecf05690]

Description:
  • Red Network: Road where Tanks&APCs can drive well. Tip for Newbies: Do not run across these streets, if you aren´t sure, if this street is under fire. Take a quick look around the corners to be sure.
  • Black Lines: Narrow Streets, where you can go, hide and slip threw, usual vehicles can´t drive there

Outposts + Key Positions

[Image: attachment.php?attachhash=83fdf3f6236bdc...e7b9597279]

Description:
  • Black dot: One Man Army, from there anyone can easily defend a flag (alone) with skill and know-how

The outpoast between C and D (for real recons) can be Black/Blue.
A fully equipped lonely recon (4 granedes, 2 claymores (Personal protection), moving censore and a sniper rifle(in my case SV98)) can defend C flag and succeed. But it demands some skill, know-how and buyable medic kits (the medics you buy for credits). And it is repeetable ;-)

This works if your team (Ru) have control over C and D and are litle on top of enamy, and your team fighting for B and A.

The two stairs between C and D are great outposts to.
  • Red Squares: Keypositions, hold them like flags!
Strategy: Go at least with 3 soldiers to these places, if you can go to the next one then go. Build a wall by having soldiers at every front key position to have no leaks and another victory.
  • Blue dots: Outposts for real Recons, made for spotting and defending
  • White dots: Flag. Take it, hold it, love it!

Suggestions for any other Map Maps are Welcome Smile

Nice.
Btw did you put a brown-orange dot south-west of your position in the outpost map? What's that for?

This account now in control of a friend, moved to BF3 & MoH as BoscPear (This post was last modified: 20-03-2011 08:23 PM by {OSS}PorsheLover.)

I think it would be interesting to put in common areas of cross-fire, so new players arent always dying when running across a certain street

^The new players who haven't played on a Karkand map before won't think it's useless. Also, it helps with planning routes for advancing and defending.

Great guide! :-)

Sugestion to one man army (black spot).

Tao999 Recon Level 18 (+3 levels lost by buggs)

Tao999 Recon Level 20 (only using SV98) (This post was last modified: 21-03-2011 07:52 AM by Tao999.)

Nice work! The derailed flatbed near D should be marked as a camping spot also.

Unfortunatly for New Battlefield Players... Ones who Have experience with this map and others know "short cuts & choke points." E.X. what someone starts @ the U.S. Base, if they know how to drive the humvee properly, they can take a sharp right, up the hill on the right side of the map, and come down in the back alley, anyone who is like me should use this to the advantage to have a armored support vehicle cover the far right stairs and road ramp @ B to surpress incoming attacks from R.U.

Or Skilled players who knows how to use the APC correctly can just sit down @ D and use the tow missle to destroy incoming tanks and APC's @ B... as long as their traced &/or spotted.
