Yo same here, I've been playing for almost a year and I've never had this problem. I always use chrome. It didn't even have a pop up telling me to reinstall the browser extension. I tried IE and it had the same problem, only this time a pop up did appear promoting me to install the extension. I don't want to fiddle anything yet because I'm afraid I might have to re-download the whole game if something gets messed up.

The recently reported Windows XP Exploit thread found here and originally reported by Ars Technica has been closed and the exploit has since been patched and fixed.

EDIT: The Google Chrome extension is now broken. Do NOT attempt to update your extension by removing it and attempting to install it again. It will not work right now. We are working on fixing this. Other browsers are reportedly working just fine.

We would like to take this time to remind you that you should always ONLY launch the game from OUR official website using the Play Now button provided to you at the top of the webpage and to NEVER use any other site to launch the game.

Thank you for your patience and we hope to see you back on the Battlefield!
