Well, your HiJackThis.log doesn't really show anything "fishy". Try complately uninstalling PunkBuster, as described here: [Guide] How to completely remove PB and BFP4F. If that still doesn't help, contact EvenBalance, please.

Why couldnt Punkbuster getting a vallid certificate? Cause Windows certificate ? made windows update. root certificate Microsoft is vallidate till 2020. Microsoft Hardware certificate has expired in 2002 ??? How can i change it?? any suggestions?

Did you also install the optional updates? For some reason, Windows was unable to verify the certificate that the PnkBstrB.exe was signed with. One of the optional WindowsUpdates is an update for several root certificates.

if you find something like certificate couldnt validate. then you shout give it a try. sorry my logs are deleted afte deinstall game. dont know orginal sentences.
just in time I reinstall from internet.

Ive tried every "solution" given in the posts here and everything ive found in the internet: updating pb, firewall/antivirus off, completly removing bf4free and pb, new installs, windows updates and so on but since the last pb-update it still doesnt work, i always get this error and disconnect on every server i try...since a few days its impossible for me to play.

Try running WindowsUpdate and install ALL updates it finds (also the optional ones). Seems like EvenBalance used a new certificate that to sign their executables and Windows needs an updated list of root certificates
If that doesn't help, contact EvenBalance, please.

ok i uninstalled the game and PB (without deleting the registry stuff) and its still happening.
The wierd thing is sometimes i can play, and then sometimes i get kicked... And it still doesnt show any kick messages for me in the log...
But my PC is acting strange the last few days too maybe its because of that.... Like when i wanna restart my PC it shows some old outfit for the menu....

I feel that I am forced to contact Slick Willy the attorney(or whatever fella I happen to see at 1:30am adverting on the tube) and see if he will take the case, ohhh the mental anguish, ohh the pain and suffering, oh my god fix your software.

Seem to be solved here, so solution is the certificate issue described on top of this page.
But for those who do not want to install to much strange things there is another solution.

Look into your punkbuster systemlogfile shown in.
/windows/system32/logfile/punkbuster

If PnkBstrA.log says : "Too many failed certificate verifications (C:\WINDOWS\system32\PnkBstrB.xtr); Load denied."

Find the File: system32\PnkBstrB.xtr . Rightclick and >properties> Digital Signatures(tab) > Details > View Certificates > Install Certificate. That should do it , it did here. Even if the window still says "windows does not have enough information to verify this certificate."

OR skip the game all together and enjoy the summer.
Take you life back !, do not waste more time&/life on stupid games with no lasting benefits.

Again here is the solution for

1. the pnkbstrb.exe initialisation fail
2. Look into your punkbuster systemlogfile shown in /windows/system32/logfile/punkbuster if you find something like certificate couldnt validate.
3. Download and install rootsupd.exe from Microsoft http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/...x?id=29434 and it works.
4. Smile

The problem was induced by Punkbuster update to v.2.306 for BF2 (and related games) on May 17th.2012 which needs rootsupd.exe installed on your system.

For me the solution works on my 32bit Win XP.
