aha, i wondered if this would ever come up

as someone who likes to check actual figures on server ive long noticed a slight inconsistency with published figures vs actual shots ingame. The most common anomaly is that I rarely see the upper bound of any damage figure, eg if its reported as 24-28, ill see hits for 24-25-26-27 but not 28

I just put it down to rounding errors in the math rather than a conspiracy to cheat us

Thx, i'm actually writing a tool for it, or at least some helper classes so i can pull out the future modifiers automaticly from the files so i don't have to do updates by hand in case they change somethingShy

And i also kinda think that the Hellfire/Jeep bug is somewhere in there

Normal RPG damage is 300 and was always 300.

yea the nerf of PRF booster somehow nerfed unboosted RPG's power also. Now after hitting Humvee/Vodnik with unboosted RPG I have to use 20-30 SMG bullets to finish it.

I'm trying to do a test with M249 tomorrow, focus on long range damage ( which mostly show just 18-20 instead of 20-24 like in its file )

all guns. Damage of all primary weapons can get lower than what you see in its config files no matter if the enemy was weapon body armor or not, and rarely ( if not never ) reach the max damage number in the files. You see my MP5 always get lower damage than its min actual damage, while on Cheezy's vid, his MP5's damage can go lower also, but less frequently.



Can someone else do the same test, but with weapons besie MP5? Just shoot at any range like usual, then compare it with the data on comparison tool, see if you was getting correct or lower damage.

despite the low resolution ( 240p ?? ) that hurts my eyes, I can still see the damage numbers. Your MP7 does 23-24 damages per hit at close range instead of 24-26 like in its file, which is lower. Now, your MP7 +3 : it does just 23-26 damage per hit at close range! In MP7+3's config file it shows 27-29 ! So your MP7 +3's damage is almost the same as normal MP7. I'm getting angry now Angry

We are mostly interested in this modifiers i think, and there is no 0.9.

But i'm starting to think the 'projectileCollisionHardness' may have something to do with it, someone should do a test with the M95, which has it set to 1.0 instead of 0.55

Reason why vid is in 240p is because you must have watched it right after it was uploaded, it takes youtube some time to adjust the quality of the upload. Its running at 480p now. Also wtfwtf I'll make an M95 vid.

Maybe someone is willing to do some more precise testing? I got two empty and unranked NA-East Servers (w/o Password).

One seems to be located in EU though (lol) since i sometimes got a Ping of 9, it is called "ARS MARTIALIS POLAND".

My Idea is to have someone let me hit or hit him once, so that he can see each number. While we are doing this, we can record the Numbers to prove my thesis of a visual bug right or wrong.

I will join the Server mentioned above now with my Engineer Ing.Ike and some Bandages if somebody/everybody decides to not to come with a Medic, i will also record the stuff just in case Wink
