Hi Guys,
I would like to know what motivates you to stay and play this game? I think that the prices for the guns are extremely unreasonable when you compare buck/fun ratio with BF3 or even better BF2. I tried to play this but It looks like I will have to spend all the credits on renting equipment. Is that how majority of ppl work here? I am definitely not spending 20 bucks to buy couple of rifles and with some scope, for that money I can buy a whole game in a completely different league. And using sponsorpay with your personal details you are just asking for trouble. Or am I just missing something? Let me know how it works for you. But for the moment it looks like I will be leaving soon. |

Youre not wrong.
I believe the problem is EA, and not the game. |

Answer for me and many others here is:
Crappy Computers. I won't be able to run BF3 within 5 years. ![]() |

You call being able to get a primary weapon for less than $2.00 unreasonable? They're still perfectly fine without attachments if you know how to use them properly.
Granted, the game doesn't look as fun as BF3 (can't fling people standing on your cars ), but most of us can't afford BF3 or can't afford a new computer to run it, which is why i'm still here in the first place. If i could afford BF3 i'd be long gone. Just waiting for the price to drop a bit

So they just stay and play thats the main motive. |

And SponsorPay doesn't really requires true data, I've taken funds with random e-mails and names. |

I pre-ordered BF3, I've played a fair share of BC2, BF2, BF1942 but I still play this a lot more than any of them. In fact, the money I paid for BF3 could have just as easily been spent on cheap booze and fat-drooping burgers. To be honest, I don't think I'll ever play BF3 much, it's just not good enough. Sure the graphics are awesome but it ends with that. The only other BF-game I actually consider revisiting is BF1942 (if I could find it somewhere [legally]). Is that how majority of ppl work here?Credits are a good way to test new weapons and see which ones you like most. Once you've found that out, spending $10 will get you a primary weapon and a handgun on two soldiers, or if you choose to buy just a primary and a pistol on one soldier and then some attachments to improve that primary weapon. Having one soldier with a good primary weapon and a sidearm will enable you to save credits for the other soldiers on the same account. Spending $20 will pretty much cover both your free soldier slots expenses for primary and secondary weapons if you know what you're doing. So yeah, you're clearly missing something. How much money you spend is entirely up to you. (25-03-2012 11:31 PM)Daftpunk9050 Wrote: Let me know how it works for you. If you ask me, neither are worth a crap, because neither work properly after a while, they both have heating issues (even the PS3 slim, and newer xboxes). Xbox overheats because of crappy thermal paste application (among other things), and PS3 gets so hot that it melts the solder connecting the CPU and GPU to the board, hence the YLOD. I'd like to have either one, but it's not worth my money if it just breaks right out of warranty. At least with a PC you can fix the thing without voiding a warranty of some kind. But, back to the topic at hand: (25-03-2012 11:53 PM)5n1p3r Wrote: Another thing is many people have spent money on this game, so they don't want to leave and see it wasted. Bigger maps, more players. I will buy it tomorrow. I understand this whole play4free idea. Basically they want you to spend some money and that will give you the edge over others playing mostly with just basic stuff. But still, if I want to pimp just SCAR for example it would cost me good 15 USD which makes it completely pointless for me. That is just 1 weapon. There are what, 3 - 4 classes? Each having at least 6 rifles. Final price for the game would be ridiculous. But I guess it works for EA if they carry on doing it this way. Good for them. |

(it should, anyway, at least the holosight does. correct me if i'm wrong )

Final price for the game would be ridiculous.I don't know where you're getting your numbers or what weapons you're looking at but to totally pimp out my rank 1 engineer on an alt account, getting the UMP, Close-in barrel, CQC-ammo and a balanced stock (a decent selection of attachments) plus the holo-sight (which is an entirely optional attachment and really doesn't add anything to the weapon stats-wise), you'd have to pay a little over 10k funds. 10k funds is what? $8-9 or something (probably lower than that, I don't have the currency conversion rates in front of me). Battlefield 3 is what? $60? For those $60 you can get 2 additional soldier slots, primary weapons for all 4 soldiers and probably still have some funds left. |
