In my reply to Kirk, I stated that fact very clearly. Should you wish it, I'll post my email content.
Here's what I wrote:
I just wanted to write a thank you email for taking my email on behalf of the BF:P4F community and drafting a story for it. I cannot recall how many gaming related media outlets I emailed, but I'm happy to see that your site had the nerve to report on it.
As you can undoubtedly see, little change has been made to truly appease those of us who bought Battlefunds in an effort to support the continued development and operation of the game. It would seem that both EA/EAsy feel their business practices for generating revenue are more important to them in the short term rather than over the continued lifespan of the game as it relates to the consumers who purchase their products and services. This is clearly evident based on the BF:H debacle that both you and I referenced.
I do not see how they feel that this is going to strengthen the gamer base and the related revenue stream when the amount of negative publicity being spread via word of mouth and online is so visibly apparent. I suppose that it remains to be seen just what will be the final result of their tweakings to appease us, but I believe that the damage has been done and the underlying mistrust by the gaming public will remain based on what can only be seen as a pattern of "revenue first...user concerns last."
Again, I thank you for your willingness to write the story.
