While I do enjoy the odd deep fat fried mars bar once or twice a day, I'd be pretty surprised if 3 or 4 years is all I've got lef....oh, you were talking about the game? Well we'll have to wait and see won't we? 4 years is a hell of a long time for most games to last, I'm confident we can make it though Smile.

Clearly; I mean I can't even recall the last title that didn't include every single community request in some form of follow-up update, especially a request that goes well outside of one of the clearly defined gameplay parameters at the outset of the project...those are ALWAYS added to games post-launch.

Maybe there should be introducet 40 at max. players on the same map for the start. 64 seems too much for curently maps.
Also, my sugestion is to choose between 24 (12 v 12), 32 (16 v 16) and 40 (20 v 20) on current maps.

Sadly 64 players will nuke all minimum spec players. As in make the game unplayable for those that do not have decent computers (specifically video cards).

We checked......and one of us usually asks the programmers to check again every couple of months. Sad

so then make 32 for low specs PC's and 64 for average spec PC's, that way everyone can play Smile

Although we had are share of diferences, I´m with you on this Silvanoshi. It wouldnt be doable!
But, and I´m not going in a discussion here, you already answered to this matter, I most confess you dont show much consideration for the community when some suggestion is brought up, one of the justification for not to apply that suggestion, is "we are extremely happy with that"

Its not YOU that have to be happy with the game, if you are serving a community, even more if you make out of this a bussines! Simple lesson of Selling and Marketing.

Listen to what the community wants, and turn that in to the selling product....(Focus Group)

Listening to the consumers? Who the hell are the consumers to know about what the consumers want, right? Bahhh!dumbest idea!

The idea here is we came up with something and you have to fell very happy about that! And specially we fell like is very happy for us!

Ah so its polycount thresholds too (I guess you can always get the frame time of the server down with more programming).

But in 4 years all those old min spec laptops will be doorstops, sooner even. People ask for 64 all the time, probably because they know the BF2 engine could handle it, but maybe in time we could move to 40 say?

Would that be a more achievable target and something the team might favour? We dont have squads (yet), so the only game change I can see is reducing the point size on the scoreboard font. Map wise sharqi can just about stand it (we know only 10% of players like sharqi most anyway) and the rest will be fine.

Franchise wise itll also allow partners to charge for those extra 8 slots, so thats 25% more income from whatever your share of the monthlies are. win win?
