High-level server - TaxmanB - 13-04-2012 08:22 PM

I'd like to see server option to set a level requirement to join.

Like a level 20+ only server, this would allow experienced players to compete with each other without having new guys trying to learn the game ruin their fun.
There could be a level limit option as well, like level 10- servers, so new guys can play together without getting harassed by experienced players.

I think it's quite simple and useful.
Thoughts?

Bonus: Random facts (will add some every time I bump this topic):

The first person selected as the Time Magazine Man of the Year - Charles Lindbergh in 1927.
The most money ever paid for a cow in an auction was $1.3 million.
Sharks can live up to 100 years.
The price of the Titanic was $7.5 million and the price of the Titanic movie was 200 million.
Diet Coke was only invented in 1982.
The average person makes about 1,140 telephone calls each year.
The fist product to have a bar code was Wrigleys gum.
Donald Duck's middle name is Fauntleroy.
A pregnant goldfish is called a twit.
The longest recorded flight of a chicken is thirteen seconds.
Every year more people are killed by donkeys, than in aircraft crashes.

I agree, this would be nice to have the option of joining such servers

Good idea but as long as there's no way to configure the servers it will remain an idea I'm afraid.

Well I mean on EAsy's part, they could make a few official high level servers too.

This would be cool Tongue

I agree, this game needs to be fair

Yes!

RE: High-level server - 5n1p3r - 14-04-2012 02:54 PM

Something similar to that in BF heroes, where you can join a server you have previously visited. But if you press play now it puts you in a server with people your own level. Also level caps such as 5+ 10+ 15+ 20+ would mean everyone can enjoy gaming at people with the same amount of train points (not many buy extra train points).

Great idea - not sure how much I'd use it, as I'm a middle leveled kinda player, but dayum, SO many other people would!

RE: High-level server - DeadxPixels - 15-04-2012 12:20 AM

I've thought about this before, and mentioned it during a match.
There's almost always at least 3 or 4 people that just demolish everyone else (usually level 20+, while the rest are an average of level 13) getting k/d ratios of 30+/5- and scores of 4500+,..
...my point:
That there should be limits such as this suggestion. Server settings for level tiers would be great.

If they ever implement stat counters, I'd prefer it be, instead of level tiers, something like k/d ratios.
Like, if your k/d ratio is 10 to 1 average, try this server. If your ratio is 2 to 1, go for this other server.

RE: High-level server - GrandUltimatum - 15-04-2012 01:21 AM

nice. i could swear that there was some -10 level server though. i cant find it anymore. maybe cuz good players could just make a new character and dominate, and higher level players could get in, and sometimes the mods werent there to kick them. anyway though that would be really cool

RE: High-level server - [TCP]Soulman-E- - 15-04-2012 02:08 AM

Well, if I'm not mistaken Pedro is getting close to implementing this as an option on the BFP4FCC Panel for server admins. There is now an option to allow only certain numbers of a specific class. Seems like I saw mention of a level filter on the drawing board.

I hope it happens at any rate...
