hey guys... i just bought the VSS cause i saw a guy in a video with that weapon. but the recoil i see in that video is way less than mine Dodgy

Look at the Date, Weapons before December 1 2011 had a lot less Recoil...:/

Honestly, VSS sux after 20dec and ithink that 99% of recons will agree with me.

I'm sorry, but you guys just don't know how to use it properly.

It's a great weapon for a rushing recon. Add the Stabilized stock and the recoil isn't much of an issue anymore. Add a Close-in barrel and CQC-amo on top of that and it's a beast.

Here's a round I did just the other day:

Yes, I do have claymores and I do use booster but that only counts for maybe 10% of that score. I also have the Extra Weapon slot with the L96 and I use both frequently so maybe 50/50 but I tend to rush a lot and with the attachments I recommended above, it's a great weapon.

I have the Vintorez +3 and its a beast at close range. Get it perma and put a holosight on it and the recoil shouldnt be much of a problem any more.

Oh and yes the video is pre nerf.

Bonus slot, boosted claymores. Action bolt rifle + full auto. Don't make me laugh. I'm rusher with M24+regular MP443 and regular nades. Average score is ~3500 and something like 2.5kdr (don't believe? ask guys from TDS server). And you call yourself recon;] funny.

btw, i prefer it being for long range though (Hi Power and Precision Barrel), the close range damage is already fine Big Grin

and a Recon is somebody who spots the enemy for his team (or just so), how he does it does not matter and i see that he maxed MS and skilled Advanced Reconnaissance.

Same me - range advantage. But hey, don't forget that Recon is distanced soldier, it's one of the kind (exactly one after nerfing pistol wuhu!), and runing with bolt acion and full auto rifle.. It's like combine of assault and sniper.. For me - sucked version. Recon is recon, need some 'skill' and 'tactic' and of course BRAIN to survive, sneak etc. If some recon get killed in cqc - his fault, didn't use his most advantage over all classes - distance. And yeah, Recon is perfect as rusher if you know how to A) Knife, B) use properly NO SCOPE ACTIONS C) sometimes pistol is your friend during capping the flag.

It's just my opinion of course.

Click the 'unlock' button and you will se all possible offers after hitting required level Wink (it will be in grey, if you don't meet requirements)

You don't get it Wink You went the EAsiest way like other newbies Wink Recon is a challenging soldier. And yeah no scope in cqc is fun and very often more effective than knife. try it out. Oh and do the same score you posted only with L96A1 or only with VSS.

Its getting funny what i beginning to notice over time here. Is it all those nerfings based on Basra , Sharqui maps only ? What about other maps Like Oman , Dalian , Dragon Valey where recoil and weapon inaccuracy DOES FKN MATTER ? Or is it simply expoiting a new revenue to sqwese more money of players like downgrading weapons and then pushing some costy upgrades for them to make weapons usable again ? Weard ...

+3 guns are replacement of Elite's guns from time before 20 of december update.

While I have to admit that the amount of kills in that particular round was higher than my standard scores, I do get top scores without clay-boosters or the additional weapon as well. Believe it or not, I really don't care either way, most of those kills were made with the VSS.

I think we can agree on recon being the hardest class to rank up. However I don't agree with you that the VSS is a noob weapon or that it sucks (which is what the argument/thread was about in the first place). In my opinion, the reason why most players playing recon end up in the lower end of the score-board is that they think they are snipers and therefore should be camping in some obscure part of the map from where they can get one or two kills at best.

No-scoping isn't a skill, it's a waste of ammunition. In close combat you use another weapon, whether that be a pistol, knife or an alternate primary weapon.

Claymore-boosters are just restoring the claymores to what they are supposed to do, protect your back and kill enemies who aren't careful about where they step. Boosted grenades however are over the top whereas the unboosted ones are just as "meh" as unboosted claymores.

well, he says that it is both which is quite paradox. A noob weapons is usually a weapon abused by the so-called noobs because it is easy to get kills with it while a weapons which is bad gets you easily killed
