Been playing the game for a little while. I played at least 2 games with each class. Here is what I think.

Assault
Probably my favorite class. Easy to use the default rifle and rack up the kills.

Medic
I like the health ability but it feels like if I was amazing I could run around and kill people with almost infinite health until I run out of ammo.

Engineer
Nice class. Probably my second most favorite to play. It makes me sad we only have two RPG's.

Recon
Sniper class. Not too good at it. They really need to stay back and not be in the direct line of fire because they cant defend themselves at all.

I can really see a threesome of the first 3 classes I mentioned be an unstoppable bunch. Each class needs the other to be successful. I'm going to hop back into game and play some more Big Grin
Fix the connections timeout problem. Fix-

it.
My first impression is:
Server is full.
First impression...

some really buggy stuff. All of them known issues, rocket bug, invisible force pushing me through stuff.

the classes

Assualt
mehh its ok i suppose, ammo is nice though...wish people actually dropped them

Medic
really nice machine gun if used in burst. med pacs are awesome. Miss my the padels.

Engineer
by far my favorite. the sub machine gun is amazing. extremely accurate, high rate of fire, and very very very little recoil. ridiculous k/d ratios + rockets are awesome

Sniper
ok, not sure if there is bullet drop like in bf2.

overall fun game, and really easy on your computer. Quick matches
Uhh...first impression?
An invisible guy killing me...
But in any other ways this game just is so AWESOME!

I like it!

Though i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but few ideas.

Camoflague for snipers like in bf2 that looked awesome.
Perhaps a chopper to karkand.
Customizable looking.Like with alot of stuff.
Perhaps like a server list from where you could pick would be even more awesome.

Anyways the work is so far awesome.
Better than Battlefield Heroes. I love realistic gameplay, and when I got to play this game for the first time, I was thrilled! Great vehicles, great combat, weapons, graphics, gameplay, etc. The down side of this game is that if feels much like Battlefield Heroes: you'll need to launch the game from the website, the aftermath (when it says "DEFEAT" or "VICTORIOUS" then just shows you the stats) each and every round is getting annoying. But overall, I LOVE the game since day one.

I would call this an alpha.
Ever tried Quake Live beta? It had it's issues but miles away from this bug festival.
This version suffers from too much problems.
Numerous disconnects and other connection issues.
Can't even begin to explain all the flaws with the game launcher.
Buggy graphics all over the place.
Extreme lag on all the servers i tried.
Not alot of resolutions, black borders on both sides.

Thanks, i love Battlefield but this beta invite gave me more headaches than i gave me fun.

I'll hang out in Badcompany 2 until this mess is good enough to be called beta.
To be honest i have problem mustering some hope for this project, so far it's only a quick bug-filled BF2 nostalgia trip.
Undecided

i new in the game but is true thts words
My first impression is:
Server is full.
Disconnected from Server.
I know it's beta, not many servers,
but the same for longer then 40 min?

"I was really happy about the key,
but i still can't play" -.-

(yeeei, its a rhyme!)) Rolleyes

p.s: gonna say something more constructive when i can finally play...

Edit: Yippie, i managed to get in the game... tip 4u with the same probs, dont set it to fullscreen... don't know why, but it works now.
Impression: Get in-Get killed... I thought i'm quite good at FPS, but i failed, fail and will fail, till u move the "fog of war" farther away, and add a little bit more differences between the sides...
example: running near somebody, "ou... he looks kind'a different then the others...but its too late, he noticed it firstSad"
for a beta game, its ok, no lags @me, i am surprised , i actually hoped something like BF2 menu, but all i get is this recycled BFH loader...Rolleyes (its lame)

Classes: all ok
Vehikles, no. vehickles.. mm no... u've got the meaninBlush
all ok
other topic- tank, as in BFH-op-and usualy comes with a noob inside...
like a cherry on a top of a mustard pile... They kill anything that moves from like the whole map
and are, for some unknown reason, really hard to shootSmile

Not a bad Game-Not a good Game-Just a Beta...

p.s: hope can keep my chars afterbeta...
Initial reaction... fun....lots of bugs (I know it's a beta).... but I am a BFH guy at heart. Think this will die on me. BFH won't.
First review:

Alrighty, it seems that this beta has a LOT of potential. The thing is, it needs to have some refining and more features. Let me elaborate a little;

Sprinting: This is where I have my biggest rant. When you sprint, you can't strafe as you do in normal running mode. This is probably not too much of an issue to most people, but it's kind of a pet peeve because I have to face the direction I'm sprinting, therefore not letting me observe my surroundings.

Ironsights / Aim view: This isn't too much of an issue, but it feels a little bit too tunnel-visioned when I right-click to aim. Also, it would help if I hold down the sprint button to automatically come out of aim view and sprint.

Fire Selector: The main weapons needs to have a selector to control their rate of fire. Sure you can do this by just letting go of the mouse button for a burst, but don't real guns (some) fire faster in burst mode?

Assault: I think the ironsights on the gun needs to be zeroed down. The weapon is only good for semi-medium to close ranged as the spray cones out too far at long ranges, a tribute of faster-firing weapons. Also, you only carry a few rounds in your gun and magazine, this means that you have to rely on your own ammo box to supply ammunition after 3 magazines.

Medic: I haven't played it yet (I know...), but the MGs are a little too strong. The thing trumps any weapon at close range combat and can still hit a target at long range. Overall, it needs a small debuff, maybe change up the firing style with the assault rifle?

Medic kits: Only the medics carry them (duh), but sometimes the medics aren't always around. Too many times I yell out for a medic near a group of allies, and none are medics. The player should be able to carry one or two of their own medic kits that can patch up a small portion of their health. Once depleted, the player would then have to find a medic and refil their own kits from the medic's kit. (Get what I'm saying?)

Engineer: So far my favorite class because it is the most versatile. The accuracy of the SMG is pretty good out to a decent range. A little too decent. I feel as unless you have an optic, you shouldn't be able to reach out into the supposed assault rifle range. The RPG is also very good, but as the only class that has them, the engineer is the only class with serious anti-armor capability. Everyone else should have a set of C4 charges that requires to be planted on the enemy armor.

Recon: The obvious sniper class of the game, they are only good for taking out targets at long ranges. The M9 is a good self-defense pistol, but if the other guy has anything that faster than an SMG, you're kinda screwed. You should be able to carry another type of weapon as a secondary, which applies to all classes. The sniper rifle also needs a damage buff, when you get hit by a high-velocity bullet, it would probably do serious damage to whatever it hit and incapacitate you.

Spaz-12: This shotgun has really been debuffed in rate of fire and damage. The real Spaz-12 is pump-action and also SEMI-AUTOMATIC. In the game, few people use the Spaz-12 because of it's single-action behavior. Also, it does have a folding stock, meaning that it would make a very good secondary weapon to replace the M9.

Spawning lag: I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but I lag quite a bit for a few seconds when I respawn, making me vulnerable to being shot. Maybe have everyone's customization on a server-based cookie (not much of a tech expert here)?

Overall, in a early stage of closed-beta, this game is quite good. Once other vehicles such as the helicopter and jet are added along with a couple maps, it would be among the best MMOFPS for the computer.
Mostly played Medic yet.

The "small" Karkand map gives a lot of action with 32 players. I like the combination of good old BF2 and BC2 weapons.

I think it is very good, that the APC can only shoot 5 times and then has to "reload". Makes it a less raping machine.
First impression after like an hour as Assault, don't pop your head around or above a wall, you'll get headshotted instantly. So just camp at a spot where no vehicle can "bomb" you out and wait for the loniest played on the map to kill him.
Or said with other word: I feel like a big bullseye when I'm in the middle of the battlefield.

Also the incapability to switch the class ingame makes it anoying when tanks just riding around killing everything without much hinder. The ammokit feels kinda needless if you already see five other kits laying around. Bringing the kit into the battlefield? Imposible and dumb, you won't be long at a spot, it is rush, camp or run. There really is no fight your way through, which is also what I really mis in this game.

About the grafics, yeah they are really bad if you know that they are based on BFBC2(wasn't it?), but I hope that this will come in time. The "wall of fog which hides all snipers sniping at you"-thing is annoying since you get shot from somewhere where you saw nothing. I'm such an person who picks-up alot of thing that happens out of the point I focus, but if there is nothing to see I feel save without being save. And not to forget the lags when loading customizations, I know that BFH has them too, but with the limit of vision in this game it really is a big issue (to me).

Short node about the granade: you can't use it as a quick tool between shooting(as I do in BFBC2), because you need to aim up und back down which doesn't feel and play well when doing it.

Another short node about Assault: Shooting short salves won't steady your aim, I hate this fact. Is this meant this way?

So yeah, ehm.. there is alot of balancing needed(who guessed what we are doing now, right? Tongue) and I want to "feel" the game, make the movements feel more dynamic(again like bfbc2) and do something about the graphics.
Keeping in mind this is a beta, I'm pretty happy with the game. It's fun and the new points system can be cool.

The thing i dont like is how do i dont have 1 soldier with variuos kits to use, but 1 diffrent soldier for each kit. It ruins the flexibility of the game since i need to leave the game to change soldier.
I enjoy the first impression so far. It feels like Battlefield 2 and that is not a bad thing. I loved the multilayer in BF2. I can't wait to fly a jet or a helicopter.
Yea, really nice graphics and gameplay.
Looked at some options. Played the game for about ten mins as eng/rockets.

I'm not a fan of this sort of class system where a weapon is automatically tied to a certain class. It's like i have been playing a poor copy of RTCW since BF2.
The knife is very disappointing. Just make it an object like the old games and allow players the choice to get better knives at some sort of cost and please don't implement the halo2 style sword knife from BC2. That mechanic is utter trash.
Movement and weapon switching feels laggy and encumbered.
I used the SMG. It seemed accurate enough to have fun with.

I wonder if their will be slight asymmetric balance depending on the players faction for the round. I loved this in old BF games. It helped me recognize who was who when a certain weapon was firing and it also rewarded me for grabbing a certain enemy kit in some situations.
If everyone ends up using the same weapons for both factions I don't think i'll want to touch this very much.
i'm agreeably surprised with the game. it uses relatively few resources and is improving at each build. the training capabilities are well thought out, interesting, and keep the player wanting to go just one more round. i also can't wait for the store to pimp my avatars with some rockin' swag.

i do miss prone. a lot. after all, with 3d spot and sniper bullet contrails, as well as sniper detection "spidey-sense", there's no way camping is going to be as big an issue as in BFBC. it's quite frustrating to get shot by a tango even though i'm behind a barrier.
Well i hit about 5,000 bugs the graphics are worse then the old BF2 and i cant play gots no mouse and when i do it does not click
Nostalgia is the first thing that sprung to mind. The constant hours of sitting in a tank, spawncamping my rank up or getting into a jeep and thinking "Jihad!". Ahhh those were the days when it really was fun to play Battlefield 2.

So, when my first taste of Battlefield free2play came along, it really was a nice feeling to go back to a comfortable map and see what you tweaked with.

Firstly, Love the fight in the middle now. Shortened map and constant struggled for B and C flag points was a brutally brilliant idea, rather than getting people bottlenecked at Flag A. Loved the flow and ebb and really kept things intresting, whilst still trying to move around the map to get into better positions. Overall layout and tweaks of map itself, made this really fun to play again.

Secondly, Only played two classes to level 5 and found them easy to step into. Must admit though, I found medic disturbing with no revive option, but I haven't looked into what your doing with each class etc, via shop and so on, upgrades later via training. Sniper is fun as always and I enjoyed the multiple headshots.... and the cry's of anguish to nerf sniper, it's over powered, etc of people who can't play the class because it doesn't shoot 600 shots per second.

Thirdly, when I died, I got awfull load lag of new customisation's of new player's joining the server. May I humbly suggest that a pre-template is used for all new player's until round is over and then load in customisation's. Nothing worse that load lag death's.

Lastly, Just thank you.... for the invite, for the memories and for the fun.
server issue's aside I found the karkand map to be good, but I prefer the larger map as this size map never had tanks/apc's

Sniper rifles seem a bit over-represented or over powered

good implementation would be squads, maybe without voip, as clans can prosper and brings the best element of bf2 out, the intense team play.
