I love the beta, because it has vehicles, great customization and a shop to buy guns. I do wish it was more easier to find a server and there would be more customization and weapons still. Also sometimes the game is slow when i have perfect connection. And alot of bugs but so far as for beta its good.
its probably a good game except for the fact that i cant join a game because the servers all SUCK
My first impression was "wow! like battlefield 2! Oops wait its buggy! Much buggy than bad company 2 beta" I know this will be much better after release, but why You just cant make connection to servers more possible?
I play Combat Arms, and have spent over a hundred dollars on it, but as soon as I (managed to get past the connection errors and) tried it out, it hit the spot. Although lots more items will be nice, this game just feels right. The ability to aim down sights make it so much more satisfying, and I love the chatter of a machine gun or an SMG and the sound my RPG makes as it delivers its lethal payload. It's a great game, and I can't wait for the bugs and glitches to be straightened out so I can enjoy the game even more.
my first impression is a history now
i played the game about 2 month(+today) but i dont want to talk about this bug that bug or connection issue and lag and ......... (wow its too many to say in one post)
just please fix these bugs and some of the thing that bother me in early days is listed below please check them
1. heavy lag and ping and connection problems after latest update(oman map included)
2. modmanager kick me for the high ping
3. new login error that happen evey time i want to load the menu -LOGIN ERROR 2:undefined-
Well I finally got a key, and played for a few solid hours. Unfortunately my first impression was underwhelming compared to what I was expecting.

The very first thing I noticed was you have to select a kit for your character, and then you're stuck with it. This is a ridiculous design feature, and completely counter-intuitive to what the BF series has always been about. I love being able to constantly change kits depending on what the situation calls for.

The game definitely needs a server browser, and friends list. I can't stand joining a game, and having no idea what map it is, or what the ping is, or how many people are playing.

The game desperately needs squads, and a designated squad leader.

The movement feels really slow, and it's not due to lag or my computer. I thought maybe it was because I was so used to BC2, but I fired up BF2 to check, and this version is definitely slower. There's barely any noticeable difference between sprinting and walking as well.

The grenade throw is really crappy, and always throws way too low. Ideally the best way would be like BC2, or at the very least the way they were in the original BF2.

The game needs advanced video options. I have it on high, but there's still a grainy look as others have pointed out as well. If this is done intentionally, I can not imagine why. I mean seriously, does anyone actually prefer that over a nice crisp clean look?

I like the customization options, but there definitely needs to be more variety. Most everything is the same with just a different color/pattern. Same with the weapon options. As far as I can tell, there's no real difference between the three assault rifles, expect the M16 is burst fire. Also needs more perks like scopes, grenade launchers, etc.

Please bring back the option to change firing modes like the original BF2. I've had a couple instances where an enemy was camping with just there head sticking out, and it'd be nice to switch to single fire and simply pluck their head off.

Please get rid of the killcam. This is one of the stupidest features ever introduced to FPS games. It's not that I camp either, because I don't. Even when it works to my advantage, I still don't feel like I deserve a kill when I already know where someone is.

Well that's about it off the top of my head. I know I probably sound really negative, but I'm just giving my honest opinion. Despite the above, I still had a lot of fun so far. I see a lot of potential in this game, and just want it to be the best it can be.
can somebody explain me how to get screen shot i mean i press print screen but when i want to open it it wrotes file empty (0bytes) Sad(((
In this patch you captured the huge feel of BF
I wont complain about the lag bugs or connection because i realize youre working on it
64 player maps would be nice
bigger splash damage for everything that explodes
I hate the fact that the rpgs cant kill a player when it hits 6 feet from him
bigger explosions because everyone loves the eye candy of an explosion
Make the flags in oman (B and C) surrounded by more stuff cuz its hard to defend so they need more cover around them
Rpgs should destroy vehicles in two shots max not 3-4
I would also like the choppers to be more responsive
If you could put in some destruction like maybe the tanks helis and rpgs to destroy barrels and crates it would be pretty nice
It would be nice to actually choose on which flag to spawn on instead to choose spawn in battle and to spawn right in the vecinity of a tank
Add a server borwser because i press play now and 5 times i go to a karkand exclusive server i im fed up with karkand
Add more tanks because as there are to many engineers in one round
If you can let the recon have binoculars and point out to the jets where to bomb that would be pretty cool
I adored battlefield as soon as i played 1942 so please dont let a fan down

It should work when you use the windowed mode, maybe Fraps will also do.
Or Xfire if they add the support.

Game improvements:

- Option to get rid of the killcam
- Add more weapons
- DEFENITELY make a ''room'' system for joining and not ONLY autojoin
- Add the Binoculars fo the recon
- Add Xfire support
Not a bad game i enjoyed it Big Grin.interface before joining needs work(mouse pointer argggg). and oman needs another flag way down the beach from A by the river, and is the other side of Karkand going to be open (docks).

I love Dice battlefield and battlefield play4free. It whas realy cool that we had the battlefield 2 maps. Bad company 2 weapons. and the battlefield heroes style. I loved the sound of the vehicles and all the weapons. That is what makes battlefield such a good game. I would say that battlefield play4free is better then Call of duty black ops. Though. Dice should work more with the movement animations. and the helicopters. its realy unrealistic. If you have that time ofcourse. self im from sweden. So im proud to come from the same country as DICE. All honor to you DICE. keep up the good work with battlefield play4free and battlefield 3. im sure its going to kill me. Im waiting with my MOH bf3 beta at home Big Grin bye bye!
This game has a lot of potential to be a big improvement on BF2 (which is obviously what it's shooting for). That said, in its current state it's not worth anything.

Visuals: The graphics look very grainy (this is on high settings on a nice box), colors are washed out, and textures are dull. Grenade trails look particularly awful. 10 tons of polish are needed here to get this up to par with even previous titles (BF:BC2).

Sound: This is the only aspect of BF:P4F that I love. 10/10 here.

Gameplay: Here we have some serious problems. This game is completely imbalanced. The MP7 in particular, can fire more accurately at range than the starting assault rifle. Starting off the assault class with a 20 round, extremely inaccurate, pathetically weak rifle just gimps the crap out of them. Almost no one is playing assault, and it's obvious why. Furthermore, guns that require credits to purchase are significantly better in almost all aspects than their predecessors that you start with. This is entirely the wrong thing to do in an FPS: try to make advancement like an RPG. Take a lesson from BF:BC2, where unlocking more guns simply means you have more options of how you want to play. Different guns aren't significantly over or underpowered in BF:BC2, they just handle differently. As a result, there are very few "go-to" guns, and people get killed with all sorts of different things all the time. Almost all of my deaths so far have been to the MP7 or SVU. Beyond that, the biggest reason why you DON'T make your advancement in FPSs like that in RPGs is that it makes it frustratingly difficult for new players. They cannot advance because the people they need to kill have a significant advantage over them. Players don't need to be rewarded like this for simply playing for longer. FPSs should be fair and balanced from start to finish, and if they're not, then new players will get tired rather quickly.

Connection: Awful. Really, truly, awful. I have a high-speed connection that typically runs 3 people playing online games simultaneously (~16Mb down and ~3-5Mb up). Why, then, do I get dropped instantly because "my ping is too high"? Why no server browser? Why don't I automatically connect to the server with the lowest ping? PC gamers demand server browsers for good reason; they are the only legitimate way to find games consistently. This needs serious fixing.
Problem:
There r little amount of east servers cause of tat i lag like ****
CONNECTION TO SERVER LOST!

FML

not being able to play once... great first impression...
After getting through the very slow interface the game its self is nice i like the mix of bf2 and bad company. currently im having an issue with full screen being black and pointerless and the windowed mode only being on size but i'm looking into these. other then that im likeing it quite well althought i wish there was a server list...

Visual:8 there better graphics but for a micro payment game its pretty damn good.
Sound:7 some sounds such as the buggy engine seem overly loud.
GamePlay:8
Interface:4 nice layout but extreamly slow with some bugs
connection to server lost
refreshing your stats...
your stats and inventory might not be up to date...
joining server...
connection to server lost.....

FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU
Great game so far (aside the lagging and bugs). I would like to see some customistations going on (ACOG scopes, 4x zoom and autospot). Even though I have played P4F from day one, from the first week the bugs were madness, so I didn't play as much as I do now. I think I play Play4Free more the Heroes now, as I like the realistic feeling. Can't wait for more to come!

Keep up the great work EA!
i rekon you should be able to toggle the crouch button instead of holding it
My first impression of this game is not good. There are some aspects that I do like but the gameplay just doesn't add anything new that would draw me away from other games. I am a huge Battlefield fan and I just don't see a purpose for this game. To me the gameplay feels like a simplified, dated shooter that can't even hold its own against BF2.
The one aspect of the game I do like is the character customization, I really hope DICE is planning to incorporate in-depth character customization into Battlefield 3. It makes the game more enjoyable and gives you the feeling you are a unique soldier.
