so i take it work has stopped on the other items (stats tracking, new game mode, weapon skins to name a few) to bring in another great idea, which just happens to work out that we pay more and for the sake of money the game ends up more unbalanced than before it was bought in

and what about all the bugs? always fun coding nice new shineys, but ofc fixing bugs doesnt make money, so sod them eh? let us put up with them for another year?

and what about clan support? starting to think you guys arent ever going to care about creating a competitive environment for clans to enjoy...ofc that doesnt make more money either

I'm sure that's already occurred to them. Coming up with an adequate solution to that quandary is their responsibility.

Also, has it not occurred to you that this 'inserts' idea could be their way of phasing boosters out of the game? They've not been balanced for a long time, and the devs are obviously cognisant of how much grief booster abuse is causing. They may be attempting to replace boosters with an alternative 'insert' within the training point and attachment systems, to create one neat little menu.

With the new system in place, there'd be nothing stopping them from (for example) removing the grenade booster and buffing the default grenades to the level they used to be prior to boosters, as there's another system in place for them to make money with. Thus, boosters are no longer vital to the revenue stream, and can be removed.

Here's hoping, anyway. That could only be a good thing.

Let's not kneecap them before they even release the feature, gentlemen.

What about game BUGS?

^this
also some of thoose inserts will propably nerf some weapons dmg (sv-98 will turn into real BB gun) and make them quite useless...
while I like the idea of this stuff (extra mags, splash dmg protection etc.) but it won't work well in BFP4F

You have been here long enough to know that they are working on more than one thingy synchronous. Only Stats Tracking has been postponed while Diwan is still working on new Sights and Reticles while HATE confirmed a new Map being made (with probably too many trees to have choppers)

"Money" is not the primary reason for swapping Stats Tracking with Clothing Inserts. It´s a primary a excuse for you when you do not understand why they change their roadmap

about Chang´s thoughts above: When the Boosters are being "phased out" then they will obviously implement those into the new System since some will still have them active for a longer time, there are people like that and i used the previous, not this, booster sale to get some boosters for a long time (Credit, Kevlar and Dual Primary). In the end it seems highly possible then though that the XP Boost and Credit Boost will stay or wander of into the Gadget Section

btw, the Grenades before the Boosters were OP, not as OP as with the current Boost but they had a Radius which was too big to be balanced. Only a well thrown Grenade should be able to instantly kill you here (atm Grenades are blindly but successfully thrown into popular spots without "aiming", just the general direction)

I am just afraid that this game is getting a bit complex aswel. New users will get their faces slapped in customization possibilities and wont know where to start. Having all those level restrictions will also make a lot of things really expensive.

When this goes through you can get more ammo in two places, in weapon customization and clothing too. It's too much.

I've been looking forward to new apparel. This is an interesting take.

Few questions however...

What about the stats on already bought clothing? Will it be worthless (no slots) or a "base" of 1 at least (for the perm bought apparel)

Does this Affect/ Erase the SKILL TREE? New perks? or existing perks that are just limited to how much slots on apparel?

New Game Models? or just the same but with different stats?

Obviously this has the potential to change the game environment quite a lot, so I'm not surprised there are already concerns. My first impression is that this is totally awesome, but with a nagging fear about it being totally gamebreaking. I know that won't be the intention, but, well, the boosters do come to mind pretty quickly.

I really, really, really like the fact that they actually have a balance to them & I only hope that the disadvantages are significant enough that they effectively balance the advantage provided.

For me, the amount of insert slots shown in the example raises two questions;
1) Are there going to be enough inserts available that it's a case of 'make a tactical choice' rather than the less desirable 'collect all the things and wear them all'?
2) How 'available' to everyone will the inserts be, considering that a set of weapon attachment rentals already cost more credits than an average player can get on a day-to-day basis? (I don't actually expect an answer to this yet. I don't even know if you've worked out the pricing or distribution strategy at this stage).

But yeah, looks totally awesome, but FEAR OF CHANGE.

it is already to hard for some players to use the training system correctly to be able to fly an air vehicle - and now more customization possibilities for clothing ... a bit too much

Maybe these things are all time-based, just like the attachments were in the past. Just like boosters, you can only have that item in your apparel slot for a duration of a certain time.

Changes will come, it´s up to us to improve them Wink The new Layer will undoubtedly make the game more complicated and scare some new Players away but it will also attract new Players (the balance between those numbers depends on the "goodness"), the new Unlock System will introduce Players step by step and give them a goal

Do these inserts work like boosters? Or can be bought permanently?

@EAsy on our Legacy Weapons/Attachments:
NERF for the sake of balance is ACCEPTABLE. REMOVAL without proper replacements is NOT!
